Description

Noticing that the audio balance for your headphones is going slightly to the left or right? Balance Lock was designed to solve this by keeping the audio centred either in the middle or to a custom lock point. No more annoying left/right audio drift!

It runs unintrusively in the background, monitoring the audio levels to ensure that when plugging and unplugging headphones, the audio stays centered. It even has special support for USB audio devices so ensure all types of headphones are supported.

If you like it, please consider leaving a nice review, it's very much appreciated!

So glad I found this!

Wow! What a difference! I was a little disappointed with my new Sony headphones and feared I had defective hearing in my right ear and tried to compensate with my Mac System Preferences to no avail but this has transformed my listening experience in an instant! Properly balanced and it seems to me the clarity has also improved as a result.

Keeps Balance - but Reduces Volume

First I'd like to thank the vendor for making this app free. I'm running a 2021 M1 iMac. I run my volume setting at full volume using my Apple Dongle DAC and a passive volume controller. This software does indeed preserve the L|R balance, but on my imac it achieves this by simultaneously reducing the volume. And oddly, in some instances if you check the visual volume indication in the menubar it will show full volume - when if you then go to the actual sound preferences control panel it will show the actual status of the the volume being less than full. Please fix the volume reduction bug if possible. Thanks again

Used with Focal Bathys via USB-C/DAC

Got this on recommendation of Focal, whose FAQ says there's an occasional bug on MacOS that means when connecting a DAC by USB-C it doesn't always start with a balanced output. This app sorts that, and saves me fiddling in the MIDI audio settings when the balance is off. Does what it says on the tin, can't ask for more.
