Barcode Generator Pro 8 4+

I suppose for the cost it's OK, but the controls are very vague. There is no tick box for Light Margin Indicator, adding a font (OCRB) is clumsy via Fontbook. Creating both EAN and 128 is not true to print and I'm adjusting once produced but that said, for £12 its OK. I'm used to using various Barcode applications (Barcoder being the obvious choice) but for design use and with software making these apps obsolete after a short period of time, I’m no longer prepared to pay the £300 cost for others – I can put up with the 2 minute job to alter the look.
After a reply from developer I have emailed the two issues:
one, entering Width and Height is clumsy as the full-point is added as you are typing,
two: the size typed in bears no resemblance to the real world. If there are instructions I’d love to see them. So I type 20mm in the height (it changes to 2.0 so you go back and change again to 20.0) x 20mm (once again going back as the full-point is entered in for you before you complete the typing). Doing this one would have thought a square shape barcode would be produced (it being equal height to width) but alas no. Thankfully I have 20 years’ experience in retail barcodes and can adjust in Adobe – good luck to others.

Thanks for your review, we're committed to improving Barcode Generator Pro! The Light Margin Indicator option is something we're working on, and we expect the option to be available starting with EAN-13 and EAN-8 barcodes in version 6.0

Barcode Generator Pro offers a large range of fonts available in the fonts dropdown, we have added the option to also select custom fonts recently, at present we don't have any intension to change this implementation, as the default font window is very familiar to users and offers a range of options which wouldn't fit nicely inside a dropdown menu.

If you could contact our support we'd be interested to hear more about the issue you are having with EAN and 128 not being true to print, as we've had no reports of this issue.

The app is ok but there is no option to off set the numbers from the barcode therefore sometimes they crash into the code - There’s also no option to align the text left, right centre or alter the spacing between the numbers.

Hey, you’ll be pleased to know that Barcode Generator 4.1 has the ability to change the text position!

ive just bought this app and can't get the caption to be below the barcode, it sits over the barcode. if you adjust the Y position the number gets cut off and eventually disapears as you move it down. so what do i do now. totally useless. this needs a re-think.
