It works - if you work it

We have been using bark for 3 months now and it’s turned out business around. It was slow at first but once we worked out how to choose the right leads and how to work those leads effectively it started to fly. We are converting 70% of our leads now at a ROI of approximately £100 for every £1 spent. We are very very happy. You don’t have to believe me, you thats fine. More work for us :)

Great concept but unsustainable for businesses

I really do like to concept of Bark and it is very straight forward to use. My only frustration is that the majority of leads that you bid credits on, you will never hear a response back or even have the customer view your profile. Bidvine used to refund your credits if the customer never acknowledged your bid on their job, and I really wish Bark would implement this feature too as it discourages me from continuing to use it when I’m having to pay out so much money to top up my credits with very little success rate. I’ve only had two hires and a handful of clients respond to my emails despite bidding on 39 jobs since joining Bark. Please reconsider the feature of refunding credits when clients do not acknowledge your bid on their request which Bidvine used to have, as it is not sustainable for me business to keep spending out on credits with very little success rate of getting hired. If this is not going to be a possibility, then I will no longer be able to justify using Bark which will be a great shame as I think it is a great idea.

Also please allow customers to advertise for jobs that aren’t just for weddings, this really narrows the market for businesses.

Appalling robbery

Anyone thinking of using Bark for work, don’t bother. Ive always avoided “paying for work” as i thought it wasn’t right but whatever you may think about my builder and so on is nothing compared to Bark. I recently joined to see if i could infill work in a few breaks i had, i paid £30 which is the minimum you can spend which bought me 20 tokens, i then used 11 tokens on one job which freed up the customers number and email, the other 9 tokens are useless as all jobs are over 10 tokens, after trying the number to no success i emailed the client, this client then read my email and decided not to respond. This may not be barks fault direct but in this instance i should be refunded and the response i received from them was shocking, after emailing bark about my issue i received the response that they dont do refunds, i received the same email over and over, its disgusting, especially for a new customer like me to learn they’ve taken my money with no consequence, i have now cancelled my account and will go back to traditional methods.
