Started in 1943, the restaurant originally called Barrow's Shady Inn on Mistletoe Street in the Carrollton - Hollygrove neighbor in New Orleans, made a name for itself with its signature fried catfish plates.
With a reputation built on melt in your mouth, fresh, flaky and slightly crispy fish and seafood plates they dished out they quickly grew into a city-wide favorite growing into a full-scale restaurant. Now with multiple locations around the city and more on the way, Barrow's has become famous for more than just it's signature catfish.
