Great App that needs work
I’ve been looking for something which encompasses more than just a ‘fitness app’ and this seemed to fit the bill.
I’ve been using the app for approximately 3 weeks now and it’s great to have everything (mind, body and nutrition) all in one place. For me the nutritional aspect has been a lifestyle change. It’s been great to be able to try new things, which has been delicious and healthy! However occasionally when following a recipe the ingredients for example will say maple syrup but when you get to the method it will say honey. Also there is no weekly shopping list or no way to export daily shopping lists- can be a bit time consuming whilst preparing shopping. My biggest bug bare with this app they only upload the food a week in advanced and it’s not regularly updated, for example today it’s Sunday and for tomorrow and onward there is no menu available. I find this extremely frustrating, as I need to go shopping to get the weeks food but have no idea what I’m eating! It is generally made available late on a Sunday (when all the shops have closed) and in the current climate it’s difficult to ‘pop out’.
I love the app, the workouts are great and the PRISM aspect is super interesting, but I’m looking forward to (the hopefully) not too distant future, when the app runs a little more efficiently!
Great content the UX needs some work to fully realise the potential
Love the combination of nutrition, body and mind. The workouts take into account the different levels of fitness people using the app will have. Unlike some comments here I think the Prism questionnaire whilst time consuming does provide a great insight into behavioural preferences that will allow you to look at how you could react in situations vs your natural tendency
Whilst general navigation around the app is good, the interface into Prism could be improved. The reports are hard to read on a mobile. This could be a limitation of the format of the data provided by Prism, but need a better solution than the current one. Otherwise love the app
Developer Response ,
Thanks so much for your review, and many thanks for your valuable feedback! We will look into this.
We've got a lot more to come, too, so stay tuned :)
Very Good!! But a few additions would make it perfect
I have just started using the app, so I’m still getting to grips with it. However a few things I have noticed that make the app a bit tricky, but could be resolved easily.
1. There is not time given during the exercises to move to the next exercise or change weights/equipment. You can be 10 seconds into an exercise before you get your weights sorted. If the exercise videos can be altered to allow for movement between each exercise it would be better.
2. If you were able to cast the videos onto a larger screen then that would also be better. A small phone screen or tablet screen make it hard to follow what’s going on.
3. If there was a way to keep the video on screen whilst you scroll through the exercises underneath that would also help. There is currently no way of seeing what’s coming up next, which also adds to the problem of losing time whilst changing exercise. Even if you could cast the video to a TV, you might then be able to scroll through the exercises easier whilst still being able to see the videos.
Overall I’m really looking forward to using the app, I’ve signed up for the 12 months. But these few changes would make it a bit more user friendly.
