Frustrating

Trying desperately to get through the start of 3rd chapter but dialogue is unreadable as it disappears at the bottom of the screen.

Brilliant

I’m totally loving this excellent game, the style alone is sublime, they have perfectly captured the noir feel of old detective films and perfectly encapsulated this into a game with great characters, I adore ted, add to this the perfect balance of hidden objects and really original mini games and you have a really great game. Oh and it’s also at times hilarious with some jokes and references that you have to be on the ball to catch no doubt I’ve missed some, especially liked her friend Jason borrowing the hockey mask 😂 The writing is so on point it’s better than most Hollywood films and is like a mix of sin city and bugsy malone its had me laughing non stop, the writers are truly very talented and make this game what it is. There are things I wish were added for example hot spots as it’s quite a dark setting so finding things is hard add to this the fact sometimes you tap something and it doesn’t highlight the object you need and is hit and miss becomes at times frustrating and leads to walkthroughs needed unnecessarily so perhaps a hints system too would have helped or more receptive touch. However inspite of these issues it’s still a 5 star game.

Appalling interface and weak gameplay. Disappointing.

Game play is awful. It’s point and click adventure but you often have to click perfectly on the exact spot to find an item. If you’re a millimetre off you miss it. And the place you have to touch doesn’t always match the graphics. Incredibly frustrating.
I would give the game 5 stars for theme, story, humour and visuals as all of that is excellent . But the actual game is pretty terrible. There’s little in the way of interesting puzzles and sometimes the game gives you no clue as to what to do next, so you wander around lost for a while until you try some random thing. The only challenge is tapping all over the screen trying to find items.
Can’t believe the talents of good artists and writers were wasted on this because they didn’t hire anyone who knows how to program or design an enjoyable game.
