bedr alarm clock radio 4+

This is a great app and it works when I was showing it off to my brother... but this morning, it didn’t ring and I missed my bus so I missed my train so I was late for college... I was just confused, it had worked before but not when I needed it

Update: a tonne of radio stations have stopped working. Almost every one I try has it’s own “this service is no longer in use” message playing on a loop?? Like one or two is a shame, but almost all of them makes the app near unusable. Please try and fix this!

Previous review: Almost didn’t try this cause there’s one with more reviews but I’m glad I did. I assumed it wasn’t possible for an app to do what I wanted it to do- turn the phone on and start playing radio with ascending volume- because the others I tried couldn’t do that. But this one did! Even when my ringer was turned off it did exactly what I hoped it would. Only done tests so far so could be disappointed in the morning when I really need it to work but we’ll see. So far very impressed

Have a love hate relationship with this app, the concept is great, and when it functions it’s perfect but there are a few pitfalls which really let it down. Firstly, it doesn’t always work which means I always have a back up alarm on aswell which is a little pointless. You have to keep it charging while in use. I would normally have my phone plugged in at night so that’s not really an issue, however its if you set a repeat alarm, it will drain your battery ALL DAY! The way I’ve got round it is to set my alarm every night rather than put it on repeat, which kind of renders that functionality entirely defunct. It’s a shame because I love the simple intuitive design, and the features it has are great in theory, but theory’s not going to get me to work on time :(
