Fun brain tickler

Just hard enough to keep you guessing, lots of anagrams and not too dependent on cricket and army acronyms as some crosswords tend to be. The filling-in can take a bit of getting used to as it anticipates your next letter and moves on to the next clue etc. but you get the hang of it quickly.
Useful check within the menu to see if you’ve got any wrong so far - which I like as it stops me getting frustrated dealing with letters I’ve already inserted that I’m not 100% sure about. Plenty of freebie crosswords to get you hooked. Excellent for those in-between times or for work avoidance!

User friendly

I've used crossword apps that don't work intuitively and logically, but this does. Very easy to navigate between clues and make alterations, and a satisfying fireworks display on completion! The only very small change I might make for my own personal use would be to make the clues slightly more cryptic and requiring more thought, but I enjoy solving them anyway and it's great to be able to dip in and out, killing time while relaxing, traveling or waiting, without having to carryi a puzzle book around.

I wrote previously that I thought there should be explanations of the answers for those, like me, who are still ‘learning the ropes’ as regards cryptic crosswords clues.
In response, I received an email saying I could ask for an explanation of a specific answer if I wanted.
Well, I just did, and promptly received a friendly personal email with a detailed and very helpful explanation of the answers I couldn’t get.
Truly excellent above-and-beyond service!
