I have had a very good experience with the Betfred app. I took advantage of the promotional offer, I Betted £10 on a horse, and it won, and after that my £30 in free bets was deposited to my account after a few hours, happy days. I like it that the race cards for the horse racing meetings are separate, and you can navigate through the race card very easily. And it shows the whole race line up. I think the lay out is better than some of the other apps available. A good experience so far, with the betfred app. I normally have a lucky 15 in the shop, but with it being closed at the moment, I have joined the app, and have had a few lucky 15s on there. Cheltenham is next week, so at least I can have a few bets on it.

Far from the best

I’ll start by saying the free bets work very well, received mine after depositing and betting £10. Also very quick to have the money I withdrew into my account. It’s good you can split the £30 free bets however you like rather than other companies that make you bet 3x£10 or whatever.

Now the not so good. This app runs so badly and is so slow, and crashes multiple times. It’s not difficult to navigate but it could be way more user friendly. It also have never once offered me cash out, and I put a fair few bets on. Not once at any point during any game was I offered cash out. That leads me onto the customer service. Takes a while to get to speak with someone on live chat and when you do, it’s like you’re talking to a robot and most answers are like they just copy and paste it. The reason I want to speak to an actual person is due to not being able to find answers in the FAQs.

So I won’t be using this again, and I’ll stick to Bet Victor, which after having used many betting apps is by far the most superior.

Slow

So the apps very slow I can honestly say I’ve never used a app as slow as this, I’ve been on inplay betting, placed abet at 20 minutes in and it’s showing 0-0 then 5 minutes later it’s showing there was a goal in the 2nd minute, it just stresses you out. A game will be say 1-0 and you’ll still have odds for over 0.5 goals shouldn’t be there. It’s near impossible to put an inplay bet on, as the odds change or it’s suspended every other second. But my biggest gripe with it is the in play football and that there’s just a list of teams not organised by leagues with league headings, would like to see what leagues these teams are playing in, where they are in the league table, without having to type it in google

Terrible app, dishonest terms and conditions, avoid!

Free bets not delivered as promised within 10hrs of qualifying bet. Instead, I had to raise it with BetFred Support who say I have been 'randomly' selected to provide a copy of my passport, a bill and I kid you not "A...selfie holding your proof of identification document next to you". Didn't realise I was applying for mortgage with the bookies.
Support is atrocious as well. They insist you give them all your private security information to proceed - doesn't seem very safe to me.
If you switch apps etc. to check for the email they sent you, then go straight back to BetFred, the Support chat has automatically ended itself, what? Happened multiple times.
This means I have to wait in the queue, go through security again, explain the issue again, what a poorly-designed, time-wasting, process.
Avoid these jokers. There are way better betting apps out there.

Terrible customer services very slow ignorant and do the opposite to what you where wanting . Experienced that 50 times or more so not just a one off. Placing a bet is like pulling teeth on line. On line betting market changes constantly stop the bet from being placed to the point of going elsewhere after trying over and over again. You get a message saying free bet then when you click on the link it will say place a bet on virtual Micky mouse racing and receive £5 quid on the ledger. What do I know about Donald Duck chasing Minnie Mouse. Honestly this is the only betting site that’s slower that bionic snail or slug. Would I recommend him . Answers no simply wouldn’t want hsssle off the person i recommended Fred too. This site is as slow as Fred over 100 meters and the shops are very similar? Too many oldies thinking they own the shops. So that’s my views.

I recently joined as new customer bet £10 get £30 free bets I transferred £10 into my account I bet the £10 but didn’t bet the full £10 so I transferred another £10 made a ten pound bet thinking it would activate £30 free bet I phoned customer service told the bloke on phone my mistake he’s said he’d see his manager t see if he could sort it as he could see I’d tried t rectify it he then informed me his manager couldn’t give me nothing absolutely nothing he could do. Ok I then informed him that I would never bet with Betfred 😡and told Micheal t congratulate his manager for his amazing understanding and his great customer service Im sure it’s exactly the way your boss would of wanted his employees to be so so empathetic with his customers! Pitiful way to treat customers AVOID!

I played on Betfred and won a pretty significant amount of money.

Sadly, my winnings where put on hold and my account was deactivated and further to this deleted.

After over a week of going back and forth with the compliance team who take what feels like forever to respond when they have already received all my documents requested they finally got back to me and accepted I had won and issued my withdrawal.

However, they also informed me my account was to be terminated and have since deleted my account and I cannot long in.

They asked me for documentation I had already provided on around 5 occasions, the emails I received from the compliance team honestly look like they are written by a child with spelling and grammar mistakes littering the emails on very simple words like ‘good’.

Overall my experience with Betfred was pitiful at best and I would highly suggest you avoid this company if you want to avoid a lot of stress and potentially having your account terminated for no reason at all and no significant explanation given.

If I could give a rating of 0 stars I would. Shocking experience, disgusting way to treat customers.

Terrible

Had a good week took quiet a bit of money, and I wanted to put £50 on ronaldo to score a hatrick but it limited me to £6, I complained on live chat and they said it was a ‘marketing decision’ to put a limit on my stakes. I won £54 from a bet that I would have won £450 if they let me do the stake I wanted. I’ve been with them for about 6 months taking barely anything out and losing a lot more than I won. They didn’t do this ‘’marketing decision’ at any point when I was losing and only when I had a really good week. I’ve had restrictions on other bookies before but never less than £35 this went from any stake I want to £6. Absolute shambles and I was told on live chat to get my limit up I must lose some bets as winning would make it continue to tumble. Terrible bookie and it’s proven there can only be one winner.

Free bets

Recently joined Betfred and it’s been a bit of a nightmare to be honest, Still haven’t received the free bets as the promotion said, I contacted Betfred 5 times and was told the first few times I would get them within 48 hrs which I said fine, then today they changed it to I never replied to a verification sms to verify as I was told a few times I did receive when in reality I never received any I’ve tried to tell them that and they kept saying I did. I checked my messages and I haven’t so i haven’t got a clue,I thought it was a con until I received a sms today to verify 2 days after I put my first £10 bet on who knows if I will actually get the free bets odds against I won’t . By the way Fred your staff are rude on customer service.

Not a good start

Opened an account for free bet offer (deposit & bet £10 for £30 free bets + free spins in casino). Opening process fine. However in my haste to get the first bet on the selection was a fraction lower than required odds (by 1/11th!). Admittedly my error but this proved costly as was advised I had now lost all the welcome offer and nothing could be done. So I withdrew my balance to try use on offers elsewhere but 2 days later and the funds are nowhere to be seen (whereas other sites it’s there almost instantly!) so I’ll be missing out on the grand national this year.
The site is basic though easy enough to use so no issues there, but again compared to others there’s nowhere near the offers available. Very disappointed
