Better Trash 4+

Doesn’t work

Better Trash has been aptly named for that’s what it is. Click on "Force Empty Trash" and nothing happens. The trash stays where it is - no warning messages, nothing. Also, if I click on anything else while Better Trash is in operation the Menu bar at the top of the screen completely disappears. Checking Activity Monitor while Better Trash is in operation shows %CPU jump all the way to 2% and then straight back down to 0% almost immediately. Occasionally Activity Monitor will show that Better Trash has stopped working and I have to Force Quit it. Without doubt the worst app I’ve ever bought. I feel like someone has just picked my pocket for £5. I should have listened to the previous reviewer.

When you click the Force Empty Trash menu item, it will work in the the background. After a few minutes or hours, it will remove all trash files. The time depends on the amount of trash files , and one of our customers ever used 8 hours to delete all TimeMachine backup files. Don't worry, give it some time and it will delete them for you.

Didn’t Work

Not great, bought it to remove some stubborn Time Machine files from my Trash, just told me I didn’t have the correct permissions and wouldn’t do anything.
Feel I’ve wasted my £5.

Don't Waste Your Money

The app didn't work, so I contacted the developer, and was asked to e-mail a copy of my invoice. I did so, but have heard nothing, so I have requested a refund.
