SLOWWWWW!!

The app is okay in terms of lay out, the offers from betway as a whole, prize wheel is a good feature and the odds are 7-8/10, but what REALLLLY lets the app down is how slow it is, and it just freezes on you! Particularly when you press on coupons and click any of them, god forbid, when you clause the app and open it again, your selected items are in the bet slip still, it’s very frustrating! so for me, as an app.. SLOW and not worth getting, use their website if you want to stick with betway, if you want a fully working app, william hill 7/10, bet365, 9/10 (but average odds and hardly any specials), sky bet (7/10)

Slow and never updated.

I did used to like the Betway app but the app itself is very slow, I am not keen on the way sports bets are done as you cannot join bet builders like you can with other sites. Also the slots on Betway never ever seem to update. They are always the same old slots on there all the time. All the other sites have new slots each week where as the slots on Betway are the same ones that have been there for months and months. Also the free daily spin wheel you never ever win on anymore. I log in everyday and do my spins on all the sites I got but Betway is the only one the never comes in on anything apart from lose which has been going on for months. It used to do 3 or 5 free spins on it every now and then but not anymore. Also unlike other sites Betway never gives free spins as promotions, like other sites give you 5 free spins on new games each week or just email you randomly to say they have given you 5 free spins. Even on sports bets you never get free bets unless you earn them. On big football games like the Man City / Liverpool game 3 of the major sites gave a free £5 bet to customers to bet on that particular game. Betway never does that. I am honestly thinking about closing my account as I just don’t like using the app anymore.

The app is almost great.

The app in general is pretty good and I will continue to use it.

There are a few tweaks I’d like to see and one major issue.

I mainly bet on in play football games.

The bed builder option is great but I would like more elements added to each game for bet builder. For example not every game will have both teams to score in bet builder.

Also there are not enough in game stats, very little actually. I personally would like more in play stats like total shots and shots in target for example. These kind of stats only seem to be available on some game but not many.

The other one would be more previous form stats for horse racing.

Just a few tweaks but the in play football ones are important to myself.

The only major issue I found recently, and it almost stopped me using Betway for good. This was highlighted on Aintree festival week, the app ran very slow. It kept freezing and I couldn’t get bets on quickly, it also wouldn’t let me log in because it kept buffering.
Is this something that that will happen every time there is a major sporting event?

I don’t believe there are many excuses for this, I was forced to go back to my Bet365 account at that time, which I would say is probably busier that Betway, and yet the app was smooth and fast without any glitches at all.

So all in all I’m enjoying Betway as a whole but these issues need resolving or sadly I’ll have to go back to Bet365.

Shocking betting company

This company should not be allowed to operate. I downloaded the app and immediately put money into my account and opted in to the free club. After betting over £40 I noticed that it was not adding into the free bet club, so I contacted the live chat team (ha ha what a joke they are) Jarred told me that I never opted into bet club I told him I had and I could send him a screen shot of the counter that appears when you opt in, he was not interested in this and just kept repeating that he was looking at my account on screen,I had not opted in and that he could do it for me now.
so I asked if all the bets I had put on would count towards the free bet club he told me no. So I said well I will just close my account he said in a smart a*se way I will do it for you now, so I said well if you are in my account you will see that I have bets pending so why would I want you to do it now? To which he didn’t reply!

So stay away from company they are joke and shocking customer service especially live chat and Jarred.

Absolute charlatans

Was using the app regularly depositing 10 to 30 quid per week. On one occasion I had 8 teams in winning positions out of 11 with the other 3 drawing and the app went down for maintenance denying me the ability to use the cash out offer. Contacted customer service and was offered 5 quid which is laughable. Didn’t deposit anything for a week or two recently and logged in to use the free daily spin. Considering the wheel has 8 sections I have conveniently landed on no win 7 times out of 7 spins consecutively. You would say the odds of that are pretty high but obviously you will only ever win anything if you are constantly depositing money. Worst thing is even when you do win, for example, the 20 free scratch cards etc the most I have won on them is about 1.20, the other prizes are £1 free bet etc so it’s not as if they would lose a tonne by it being actually random and fair. Customer service is a joke, don’t even bother.

Betway sports app

Started betting last year mainly on UK football and have tried out a few other betting companies apps and services. Yes its UK law to provide ID for all betting sites now, ive had no problems with Betway, ive found their customer service to be excellent with regard to ID queries and free bets and the free bet club. This app is one if the best, ive found its very easy to use especially re double chance bets which can be difficult to find and tedious to do on many other apps, its fast too even when your signals not great and Betway have some great weekly competitions for serious prize money.. its a big 5 stars all round from me!

Average but slow

App is quite slow, sometimes can be hard work if wanting to build an acca. Pay outs very slow, seem like they make multiple stops before actually agreeing to send your money as there is a 4 step process before pressing the final button to give you your money. Well behind its competitors in withdrawal times, but the app does work and you can place bets on it.
Worst of all is the customer service as every time you go into live chat it’s a minimum 30 person queue and this averages over an hour, if u drift away from the site it will disconnect you. No number or email contact either. This is definitely their biggest negative.

Issues

I’ve found the available bet builder options miss really simple options frequently, such as number of cards, their odds aren’t great, their offers or enhanced odds usually aren’t great either, there’s no easy way to get in touch with them for support and their help section only takes you through basic guides. I’ve yet to find an email address for them that works. As an example, they took my bets, there was a corruption in the transaction history and it wouldn’t link to the bets I placed meaning they took the money with no recourse for me to raise it as an issue on the app. I had to contact them through messenger as their emails aren’t monitored allegedly, where I was told they were aware of the issue but no detail whatsoever or how they would fix it/compensate me. Avoid.

Horrific app, Horrific customer service

Downloaded the app and filled in my details to be told I was verified then deposited £30 to gain access to the free bet offer to which my account was then locked as I went to place bets, not only frustrated as my account got locked after I deposited but I couldn’t get it back and because my account was locked I couldn’t access live chat so had to email, slow reply times with the email staff offer no guidance or help or reason to any of my problems and ultimately after being on review for 5 days told my account was suspended with no given reason and that I have to wait another 5 days for my money to be put back into my account. Absolute shambles of an establishment never download or give it any money stick to literally any other betting app

Mr I don’t like cheats

Done a bet today. Was a cash out available bet. All my teams were doing well. Then Betway decided to hold one particular game, Freiburg v Empoli, on suspended once Freiburg went 1-0 up. They kept it on suspended all the way until my other games had finished. By then, Freiburg were 2-0 up, and still on suspended. Not the first time it’s happened either. If they think your bets doing well and has potential, rather than offering you a cash out, they like to cheat and hold games on suspended for absolutely no reason other than to avoid offering you anything. Biggest cheating site I’ve ever been on. Don’t bother giving them your money. A bets a bet, but these guys like to cheat if it’s not looking good for them.
