Great way to explore cities

I have used several companies and I can say from experience that they go closest to attractions and minimise walking there. Also their bus frequencies are better than their competitors. They also have live guides on many buses and if not, their drivers control the commentary so that you see stuff based on what you hear. Recently I had used a competitor whose commentary was recorded and not in sync which was v frustrating. Big B app tells you the nearest stop and you can also track buses.

Two areas of discontent: not all buses have some covered areas on the top deck but they do issue well designed large capes with hood that make using the top deck easy without getting wet as they are long enough to protect you, your bag and bum from getting wet. I was a fool that sat upstairs when weather was bad. Secondly, I paid a bit more online than buying ticket on the day. They have reps at every stop who sell tickets.

I am converted and shall use them in future when they operate in a city I visit. Highly recommend them.

Hop On

Got a great deal on a two day pass by purchasing via expedia. Used the mobile phone download for all 5 of us. You can find a large number of very helpful staff near the Eiffel Tower making your ‘paper ticket’ collection easy. You must do this, you cannot travel with just your e-ticket. The street staff spoke good English (fab for us).
There are at least 3 bus your companies so ensure you have the right one for you. We approached a staff member from another company first and he very politely pointed us in the fight direction which I thought was good business.
The Red tour is the longest. Informative, interesting, obviously open top (some more than others) and of the 4 we used, all air conditioned. On average 1 in 3 have a live guild, however, I personally found the recorded info more clear and precise.
The Blue route we used 3 times. None of which we found were air conditioned and as you can imagine, very hot inside in July. Food for thought.... take a hand held fan.
All buses hit very busy and my one negative I have is that no one on the buses ever checked out tickets. I wonder how many people had experienced this previously and were travelling with no ticket making my paid travel crammed and stuffy.

Hong Kong Stop Over

Used the 48hr Deluxe Pass and two things we were lax at reading - stop six was not available see now it is removed and the night tour does not bring you back to Island. Our mistake but removing from web is good and a mention at pick up point for night tour would be good just so we knew, we were not the only one.
However the service was good and we got to see lots of interesting place from Hong Kong’s past and the UK influence.
Would use again just to see the bits we missed.
If one thing I learned do your homework in planing it only makes the experience so much better and combine with transport services it’s great value.
Can’t wait to return.......
