I have to admit to not having needed to use this App in an emergency but just reading through it I am terrified. I have returned to cycling after 30 years - and reading the bit on 'what to do if you get a puncture' I don't think I could cope at all. Also I've never heard of anyone have a spare inner tube in their bag - is this normal? Maybe it is but I have no idea of knowing. I find my bike hard to manoeuvre though it's very light 10kg - I have to take the front wheel off and undo the brakes when at home to hang it on the wall and it takes me 40 minutes to put the wheel on and adjust the brakes, each and every time. I just know, if I got a puncture out with my bike, I'd be helpless as I'm not sure what I'd do -- I bought this App so I wouldn't feel helpless but it's just made me feel worse. Isn't there something out there for the complete beginner? Please?
Having not had a bike for a number of years, and then the wife and I bought a bike each, this app has been brilliant, I've learnt how to adjust v-brakes, how best to put a new bike together, saved time fitting accessories that needed bits removing and even trued the wonky wheel on my new bike (which I was initially gutted about). It cost a couple of quid, but is worth it for the time saved and confidence it gave me to attempt the work myself.Great app 🚲
Bikes have changed a lot since I last had one. Mine had cotter pins. Things have moved on and most of what I know is no longer relevant so I bought this app. It's very good with plenty of pictures and good descriptions. The solutions to two of the problems that I am having with my Moulton are explained in here so I can't wait to get home and fix it.Well done for a worthwhile app.
Great app with crystal clear instructions and pictures which allows even the most incompetent DIY cyclists among us to have a go themselves and get to know there bike better, saving the pennies along the way. I would still recommend a maintenance workshop to increase skill levels and confidence but this app will be great to have the essentials to your fingertips.
Whatever price you pay for this app, it will be worth having if you are keen to service the bike yourself, as it will help you understand your bike better – saving visits to bike repair shops. May even help you when something goes wrong mid ride. For me personally, this app is a keeper!
The content that's there is ok. Was expecting a little more really. Would be nice to see it also cover HandCycles as there are some differences to look out for.Think it could also be expanded to have info as well to cover certain subjects for those wanting more from the app
