BiTaksi - Your Taxi‪!‬ 4+

Installed the app on my first day in Istanbul. Found it very efficient and quick every single time. Cab was outside our hotel within a couple of minutes of request. Experienced no issues. Very useful app indeed.

ENGLISH : Taxi driver cancelled the journey we booked through the app but blamed us for doing it in our pocket! He then started the meter as we got in and took us on a detour around the city, making every wrong turn imaginable to extend our journey. Expected the app to keep history of cancelled trips so that we could report him for fraudulent behaviour but no: if the journey was cancelled then it’s not kept in the history, making it impossible to complain about. This is also a safety concern. What if something happened to us? The app wouldn’t know our latest contract with a taxi driver.
TURKISH : Taksici uygulamayi kullanarak olusturdugumuz rezervasyonu bizim iptal ettigimizi iddia ederek iptal etti ve metreyi calistirmaya basladi. Bizi polisin yollari kapadigini iddia ederek uzun yollardan goturdu. Uygulamanin iptal olan rezervasyonlar icin log tuttugunu dusunerek taksicinin plakasini almadim bu sebepten dolayi taksiciyi sikayet edemiyorum. Eger rezervasyon iptal edildiyse benim tarafimdan, bunun bilgisinin uygulamada tutuluyor olmasi gerekirdi. Belliki uygulama gelistiricileri taksicilerin cikarini guderek bizim guvenligimizi yoka sayiyor cunku basimiza bir sey gelse idi bu taksiyi bu uygulama vasitasiyla bulduguma dair hic bir bilgi yok!

It is as good as hailing cabs. Depending on drivers you can get a good experience or a terrible one. Drivers are fine to cancel immediately upon arrival and charge the minimal fee (The option to suggest an “advance tip” to find a cab during heavy traffic makes it even worse - they are “arriving” and cancelling to charge the fee plus tip without performing the actual ride). The app has NO customer service. Unlike any similar kind of a taxi app you cannot report an incident or claim anything. There is no way to argue the deliberately poor routes/detours etc. All in all - hailing is as good and safe as this app. You can always show a google map to a driver
