Description

The Official BlackVue Dash Cameras app.
The BlackVue app supports all the BlackVue dashcam models with Wi-Fi compatibility.
Four modes: BLACKVUE CLOUD, BLACKVUE WI-FI, INTERNAL MEMORY and BLACKVUE BATTERY.

BLACKVUE WIFI:
Access your dashcam in a direct connection over Wi-Fi. To do so, connect first to your BlackVue from your phone’s Wi-Fi Network menu.
Once connected, you can go to the BlackVue app’s BlackVue Wi-Fi menu to access all the videos stored on your dashcam’s microSD card, check Live View to adjust your camera’s angle if needed, and modify your BlackVue’s settings.
You can also apply a firmware update over-the-air (FOTA) after downloading the firmware to your phone. If you are already connected to your BlackVue, make sure to connect to an Internet-enabled Wi-Fi network to download the latest firmware from the app: the Firmware Download option is accessible from the sliding menu (swipe left to right in the Main Menu of the app).

Internal Memory:
Once you have downloaded videos from your dashcam to your phone, they will appear in this menu. From here, you can organize your files into folders and save videos to your phone’s photo/video album.

BlackVue Cloud:
BlackVue Cloud is a BlackVue-exclusive service (with subscription plans available) that lets you access your BlackVue from anywhere, anytime, from the BlackVue app (or the BlackVue Viewer).
Creating your BlackVue Cloud account is simple and free. After creating your account, the app lets you register your Cloud-compatible BlackVue (BLACKVUE CLOUD menu) and set it up to connect to a hotspot (BLACKVUE WI-FI menu):
The Free plan includes:
▶ Remote Live View.
▶ Real-time Location.
▶ Notification Alarms.
▶ Cloud FOTA (upgrade the dashcam’s firmware over the Cloud).

With the Smart plans, you can enjoy:
▶ Unlimited Remote Live View – Remotely monitor your car in real time.
▶ Unlimited Remote Video Playback – Play videos stored in the Cloud or in your dashcam anytime from your phone or tablet.
▶ Manage up to 3 dashcams from a single account.
▶ For Fleet management features, visit www.blackvuecloud.com.

Excellent cameras brought down by the app

I have the DR900S-2ch setup and it produces excellent pictures. The hardware is five star all the way. The app is not. If I do a fresh install of the app and set-up the camera WiFi connection from scratch, the app contacts the camera and works fine; once. A second attempt to contact the camera fails every time, requiring me to delete the WiFi info and the app and start from scratch again. This is why the system loses two stars. One other issue. All my other apps run sweet through the VPN I use. Not BlackVue; it complains about the connection and refuses to play ball. The app needs some quality control, bug fixes and a bit of a rethink on Internet connections but it has all of the foundations to become a really good addition to the top-draw hardware.
Update: it speaks volumes that there is not a single developer response here. I doubt the bother reading anything; hence the app falling tragically far behind the quality of the hardware.

It can't only be me who is frustrated by these 3 issues

I have the DR750s 2ch. The cameras are great in design, quality and functionality apart from the g sensor being far too sensitive and could do with an attenuator switch in the app. The pc software works fine. However, the app has three issues which drive me crazy when running on the iPad pro 9.7. The first and most annoying being that the app does not, and will not manually or automatically orientate in landscape/horizontal mode. The second issue is the annoying advert that fills my screen every time I open the app, which incidentally is not orientated correctly because I always hold my iPad horizontal. Finally, the live camera view is really poor image quality and laggy when viewing over the direct iPad to camera wifi connection in the car. I have emailed Pittasoft on two occasions regarding the first and most annoying issue, however, nothing has occurred. Oh, I nearly forgot, the app doesn't allow the split screen mode of the iPad to work either. Please take note Pittasoft, all of the things I have mentioned really detract from the user experience. You can make a great product even better if you act on your customers input.

Awful

Brought a front dash cam and rear dash cam for £404 (inc fitting) it works great in the car but doesn’t when you’re away from the car. Trying to connect it to the wifi was frustrating and time wasting. I am now taking this half baked product back to Halfords and I want my money back. It’s the equivalent of getting a TV and discovering it has sound but no picture. I wanted to see what was going on around the car whilst I am say sitting in my living room but the wifi won’t reach that far? What’s the point? The app is too complicated to use. An absolute shambles.
