Deletion of Windows metadata: Desktop.ini, .Thumbs.db, $RECYCLE.BIN and System Volume Information.
Custom blacklists (with wildcards) for deletion of any items you wish.
Cleaning of metadata from zip archives.
"Get Info" feature for showing metadata which BlueHarvest can delete.
Scheduled cleaning of disks (useful for regularly cleaning disks shared with non-BlueHarvest users).

Still good, years later

Purchased this app many years back, then stopped using it when I stopped using a networked media drive. Recently set up a networked Plex media centre and found there was an issue with AppleDouble files confusing its database, so downloaded BlueHarvest again, set it to delete only AppleDouble files on the networked drive and suddenly everything's working as it should. Thanks!

Works really well

I use exFAT USB drives for photo archives (using CCC) and ran out of space after manually deleting some files and ejecting the drive before emptying the trash, as I have several USB drives with the same volume name this got a bit confusing!

Set-up can be a bit confusing, for example why do I have to select Macintosh HD when setting up cleaning for Non Mac Disks, though you can skip this and add specific volumes.

Really like that you can ignore metadata files for certain file extensions, for example .tif and .dng files.

Would recommend if you regularly using non Apple formatted drives.

Love it, set up isn’t really straight forward but really useful

I find the problem of extra files being written by my mac on usb cards and stick a little confusing, and set up is OK, but a little complicated for a non tech, but the result once set up is perfect. Great app if a little expensive. I think it’s worth it though.
