Boo — Dating. Friends. Chat‪.‬ 17+

Coming from tinder, bumble, etc, I was expecting this to be another generic dating/hookup app. I was pleasantly surprised however! Boo is not strictly a dating app, it’s a social platform. You can make posts there. Share photos with everyone on the platform, and become a part of different communities using hashtags. I’ve already met a couple of nice people who I’m friends with. As a bonus, the app does not have any predatory subscription models like tinder/bumble etc. you do have a limited summer of swipes for free but you can maximise this by earning “love” You get this by being a nice person in the community and messaging people. As far as I know, there are no limits to making posts, and you can still meet people like this as well! The app does have a big issue with bots. Somehow their verification stage is being abused by bots (but as you know, people that make bot accounts are absolutely brain dead and have no social skills so it shouldn’t be hard to pick up on.) As a bonus, successfully reporting bots and trolls nets you coins which you can use for boosts for your profile and posts, you can also get coins for free, again by just being active in the app. I was impressed as this is something that is usually only a premium option on other apps. Not sure how long this app will stay consumer friendly but until it changes, I can recommend it 🫡

Contrary to some whispers I’d heard, the Boo dating app isn’t half bad. In fact, there’s a fair bit to like about it. For starters, the interface is pretty user-friendly; you won’t find yourself navigating a labyrinth to set up your profile or search for matches. The app’s design is sleek and engaging, which definitely adds to the experience.

One thing that sets Boo apart is its unique approach to matching based on personality traits, which feels like a breath of fresh air in the somewhat crowded dating app space. It’s quite intriguing to see how they use psychological principles to try and spark connections.

Of course, like any app, it has its quirks. The user base isn’t as vast as some of the giants out there, which can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, it means fewer fish in the sea; on the other, it feels a bit more curated, less like you’re just one in a million.

And yes, while there are the occasional glitches and the odd ghost (pun intended), the overall experience is surprisingly pleasant. Customer support is quite responsive, which is always a plus in my book.

In summary, if you’re considering giving Boo a go, I’d say it’s worth the shot. It might not be the belle of the ball just yet, but it’s certainly no wallflower.

It was a Monday morning after the weekend. I’m getting ready for work as I put my boots on then I grab my bike. put my backpack on open the front gate and the way I go without a care in the world. I’m cycling down the road takes me 20 minutes to get to work as normal traffic everywhere traffic lights going this occasion. everything seems to be going fine. I clock on at work put my bag in my cupboard and then I start my day mid afternoon. I cut my finger with that. I go to see first aid within me putting a plaster on my finger, I have now got blood rushing out of my belly button put a final point on it. The manager of the shopfloor comes over takes his glue green fluorescent jacket off and tries stopping the blood coming out of my belly button and within 10 minutes ambulance and within 25 minutes I am on a medical ward thinking that I was going to die, this was 10 years ago and it’s like as if it hadn’t yesterday I wouldn’t say I’m fit as a fiddle. I’m getting there slowly 10 years where I could’ve died so I am very grateful for the Doctors nurses ambulance driver ambulance people in saving my life, God bless them all and I am still taking medication to stop it from happening again hopefully.
