Amazing App!
I got a month’s free trial for BookBeat and I gotta say, I’m willing to carry on paying for a subscription. There are plenty of titles that are currently on my Wishlist to purchase, so I’ll literally be saving a FORTUNE with BookBeat! We’re talking £100’s as my To Read list is huge. Admittedly not every title is on here, whether that’s popular or newly released. But I’m guessing that's dependable on the publishers 🤷🏻♀️
However, I’ve got plenty of reading and listening to do with this app, so I’ll definitely get my money’s worth! The narrations are clear, and the speed adjustment can increase in increments of 0.05! Syncs perfectly on other devices, and works smoothly on the Apple Watch, too 👌🏼

So far started the free trial, there wasn’t any of my favourite authors, I’m a Sci-fi/fantasy nerd, they have game of thrones in the Sci-if section for some reason. I can’t account for most audio books as there are rave reviews from many and many a person, but for my style of books there is very little choice and the one book I decided I’d have a go at (the Hobbit) set itself back a chapter when I went to carry on my listen after 2 hours worth. I’m not being funny it’s not too hard to find a page, but to find the wording you heard is a whole different story lol.
So it has bugs, not set chapters, genres are actually not known as GOT sci-fi?!?! Maybe? Lol, but don’t let my tastes in books put you off, hopefully they’ll make it an easier experience with no bugs for places soon as well. Worth a try at least but I’m not going to keep it up. With Audible there isn’t any of the problems listed and it’s cheaper for me personally. I love paying for the underdog but it would be like buying your weekly shop at the corner shop at the moment.
Well…
Well I was initially very skeptical as couldn’t find my usual authors but when I had another look today I’ve found them! Has the library been recently updated and new titles added?! Quite possibly! I had said before that I wouldn’t be keeping my subscription but now…well I might just keep it after all. If I can get my favourite authors the subscription is actually a bargain!
