You can use boon. without any fee for the first 3 months. After that, it is EUR/GBP 1.49 per month.
SIMPLE AND QUICK
After you have registered, you can start paying with boon. in just a few short steps. Simply add your boon. digital prepaid Mastercard to Apple Pay. Top-up your account using credit or debit cards or via bank transfer. Hold your iPhone near the payment terminal with your finger on Touch ID or authenticate via Face ID. For paying with your Apple watch, double-click the side button on your Apple Watch and hold it near the reader.
With your boon. Card in Apple Pay, you can pay at any NFC-enabled point-of-sale terminal that accepts Mastercard Contactless payments, in Apps or on the Web that accept Apple Pay.
SEND MONEY IN REAL TIME:
As a boon. PLUS user, you can send and receive money from other boon. PLUS users instantly (Feature varies by country). Just select the name or mobile number, enter the amount and done!
Pay for your online shopping using boon. digital card. You can use your boon. card at any online shops accepting Mastercard. Simply enter card credentials at the checkout and that’s it!
PAY IN STYLE:
With boon., you can also pay with other wallets and wearables like Fitbit Pay and Garmin Pay. Just add your boon. card to the respective wallet, and you are ready to pay.
FLEXIBLE TOP-UP OPTIONS:
You can replenish your credit using any 3D Secure Mastercard and Visa credit or debit cards. You can also select an ‘auto top up’ option, which means there will always be enough balance to make payments.
If you do not want to use your credit or debit cards, Topping up via Bank transfer is also available for boon. (Varies by country).
OFFERS AND PROMOTIONS:

Not a boon, not at all
Joined in summer 2017 while waiting for Monzo or Starling to get Apple Pay sorted. It worked and I was happy with it, but lack of physical card and tricky topping up procedure meant I went with Starling when the activated Apple Pay. I deleted the boon app with zero balance. In April this year they started to charge me a monthly fee, but because I used an old email address and old phone number for the app, I was unaware. It’s been a nightmare sorting it out and it’s cost me £4 plus about 2 hours Not the end of the world, but boon, don’t charge fees on obviously dormant accounts, it’s not fair. You could just lock the account and charge if reactivated.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
In our defence, we always inform our customers over email, over SMS about the upcoming fee and there is still a period of time during which you can cancel your account. So, since boon. is a financial product, so if you made an account you have to close it. Deleting the app doesn't mean deleting your account.
Thanks for your suggestion about the locked account. We have sent it on to our product teams to have a closer look.
Didn’t work for me
Opened an account, but none of my cards would work to add a balance. Left it a couple of days and then saw an app update. Tried that, hoping it’d work, but then told my account was locked. Called customer service who said it was cancelled due to suspicious activity. They then demanded I send documents to them to unlock the account. What a hassle. Cancelled the account and won’t be bothering again with them. Also be aware of the monthly charge after 3rd month.
Blocked my account because my phone number had changed, attempted to cancel my account.
They then would not let me cancel my account as there was a balance of 5p left in the account. They said I had to send bank details over so they could transfer the 5p, which I did. No further correspondence for months.
Just been informed that my account (which I thought had been cancelled) now has overdue charges.
Terrible - do not get one
