Ratings and Reviews
Good app to check what is going on on your Hue bridge
This is a very good app to check what is going on on your Hue bridge. It has a very clear layout in comparison to some of the others.
I have deducted one star as the app does not keep a persistent connection if you have multiple bridges—you need to ‘re-pair’ the bridges each time you swap over resulting in another record being added to the whitelist each time.
Very useful
This is a good app. It allows you to see what is going on in your bridge - e.g. What scenes etc are stored in there. I found this very handy when I created and then deleted several scenes in the iConnectHue app which Alexa/echo got in a muddle with (the scenes and room names became scrambled). I deleted the scenes from the iConnect app, but Alexa kept finding non-existent scenes/devices. Using this app I was able to get into the bridge, find the offending junk, and delete it. That was not possible in any of the hue apps I was using before. Very useful, as I say. It also allows you to test the response speed of your lamps and gives you some stats you can see how many scene slots you still have available, for example. Nice thinking. Nice app for tidy minds.
UPDATE: All good, except the analysis for rules is not working. The app shows that I have all 100 remaining, yet this is clearly not the case. e.g. I have 5 dimmers and they use plenty of rules...
Good for a programmer
I have manually programmed our system via Postman. While you could do it manually, it’s quick to debug what’s been missed when getting remote access over a VPN when the wife is calling. The clean up tool is a nice addition, to see if you’ve left garbage. For a programmer I’d recommend.
