Fantastic platform for a freelancer in hospitality
I joined Brigad a few weeks ago after leaving my role in a hospitality business looking for temporary/casual work. I didn’t know much about Brigad really but was attracted to the app based concept of getting shifts sent to you and a simple ‘yes/no’ response. The UI on the app itself is super straightforward and easy to use. Recommend turning on Notifications so you don’t miss out on all the shifts as the shifts seem to be sent out to a good number of ‘Brigaders’. Payment is also efficient (2 paydays per week). You do have to register as Self Employed (Brigad can take you through the process) and you will have to do a Self Assessment to pay tax on your earnings. Loving the app so far and looking forward to picking up more shifts!
Outstanding
I have been on the platform for 4 years now and having used other similar applications, I have to say Brigad is by far the best. The pay is fair, they have a sufficient amount of work, and their customer services is spot on.
Recent developments like the payment after 3 days option have been really helpful. I also like that they are regularly updating their features and looking at ways to improve. I would definitely recommend them !!
Always to the highest expectations
I don’t take much agency work but the few shifts i have completed with Brigad were outstanding. I have always been send to nice places and nice people. Easy to take the shifts that pleases you and the app has everything you will need to accept a shift, travel to the workplace, work your shift and monitor your dashboard for everything else.
