Connecting and changing light colours is simple using the app. There is however limits on the custom modes, you can only have one flash and one fade of your colour choice, and the music works fine if you put it on Rhythm (it’s basically using the mic to listen for the music). Annoying that you have to turn Lock OFF on your phone to play for long periods. Don’t see the point of the connection to Apple Music as you can’t play playlists genes only a massive list of your music in a random order. Fixing the Lock Screen would allow playing on existing systems and syncing with lights fine.

What needs to be fixed:

1. Rhythm feature doesn’t work when outside the app. Come on this is easy programming.

2. Also about Rhythm— Why don’t you add the ability to choose one light option (I choose RGB) and it dims and becomes more brighter with the music. So kind of like a mix of Rhythm+fade.

3. The DIY Fade doesn’t work with any RGB, only selected modes and is extremely basic. You need to allow fade between any of my chosen RGB colours + allow me to choose the extent of brightness change I want while it fades (example: Keep on fading between 20% and 80% brightness)

3. There is “how to connect alexa” instructions on the app but no button on the app to actually connect alexa… Come on. Fix!

I used this to set up 20 led down lights in a garden office/garden room. It was very easy to add the lights in and they all worked first time. The app discovery worked really well and I was surprised at how quickly it added them.

Colours are pretty decent and are all fairly responsive.

The device grouping and renaming is a little tedious when doing 20, but it does work well with a little patience.

Apple Music works well and although it’s a bit of a gimmick it will surprise our friends when they come over. I suspect I’ll only use that feature once 😀

One star lost for the cumbersome device and grouping faff, plus the devices can be in only one group. Lastly if it was Alexa-enabled it would get a full 5 stars!
