This is a masterclass of its genre. If you are at all into point and click adventures, you'd be crazy to miss out on experiencing this game. It excels in 3 major areas that games like this so often lack:Graphics - the engine is solid, no clipping or clicking issues, and the style is both cute and consistent. Visually stunning to behold as you play.Story - the story is gripping and longer than you'd expect for a game of this quality. It will keep you guessing and still surprise you with the twists in store.Dialogue - for a game which is based on characters speaking to drive the story forwards, you'll still be amazed at the sheer volume of dialogue, and at how continually engaging it is. Each of the characters is unique and entertaining, and they speak with a delightful quirkiness that keeps you interested in talking to everyone - even if they can't help you, you know it will be a fun conversation. Even better than this: there is an incredible voice cast including some leading actors! The vocal delivery of the dialogue is of unparalleled quality for a video game, truly fantastic. It's also worth mentioning the musical score is wonderful, charming and dramatic by turns, even while it remains in the background. It's a solid amount of game for you money and of a quality seldom encountered. Do yourself a favour and add it to your list.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed by the family

We had quite a few wet days on holiday. My wife, teenage daughter and I spent of the mornings playing Broken Age and got completely hooked- 17 hours of game play in to the night! Still way more family sharing moments than staring at a movie or getting lost in social media. The puzzles are just challenging enough to keep you going but not so hard you get completely frustrated, especially with a few of you playing together. The graphics were excellent and the story telling was strong, a few questionable elements. On the whole a highly quality and thoroughly enjoyable experience. We're now searching for something similar with little success. We'd buy another of these types of games tomorrow if Double Fine produced one.

  • Fantasy at its best!!

All I can say is a huge thank you to the ppl that brought me this game, it got me through some seriously bleak times, it is funny with a great storyline and characters obviously a lot of time and thought has gone into its development. The only other games I've enjoyed as much are the cave and forever lost, with the room a close second, I wish I could live in this world especially shays fake space ship world ie. icecream Avalanche!!🍧🍦😊 failing that another game like this..... Pretty please?? ....soon??... ish?Edit just had to add having seen this at £1.99 now, to anyone who hasn't already purchased this game, they're selling 💎 for pennies, please grab the opportunity it's a steal.... daylight robbery the game is that good!

  • 6 years! It took me

If it’s value is based on how long it took to finish, this game is hands down WORTH paying for. I downloaded this game in Oct 2014 and only just finished it today, Aug 2020. It’s rich, deep, puzzling, fascinating, clever, and all the while with an interesting fantasy narrative. It’s only downfall - it’s bloody hard! After several attempts to getting into it (over several years) this year I finally persisted and took it seriously - it’s certainly challenging for even the keenest click and find enthusiasts but the gorgeous illustrations and celebrity voiceover certain give this its polished finesse. I’d say keep em coming but I doubt the design studio even still exists!?

  • Nothing broken about this

As a huge point & click adventure fan from the oldest of schools, I am delighted to unequivocally confirm that Broken Age is utterly fantastic and right up there with the very best of Tim Schafer’s early work. With a gorgeous artstyle, stunning animation and a superbly acted, genuinely hilarious, script, this early Kickstarter success story steel feels effortlessly fresh and unquestionably at the very pinnacle of modern adventure gaming. So whether you’re a veteran point & click aficionado or an inquisitive newcomer looking for something different, I urge you to try Broken Age. Whether it’s the brand new Nintendo Switch edition, the excellent PS4 and Vita (cross-buy supported) ports, PC, or right here on iPhone and iPad, just please buy this game and get it played. A highly doubt you’ll be disappointed.[NOTE] If I were to nitpick, I would just say that here on iOS, the game is long overdue an update to fully op-TIM-ise (see what I did there!) with Apple’s latest wave of ultra widescreen iPhones. Nothing major, just a 'quality of life' thing, to freshen up an app that’s been around for a little while now.

  • AMAZING

This game had me hooked until I was finished! It has an awesome and interesting story and it makes sense! It is mega clever that you made the story’s link! It’s also cool that you made a simple punch into a story switch! All I can say is that you have a good dialogue, a good story and a good range everything a game needs! Please make a second broken age! But 2 questions: If shay wasn’t really in space is Lorena real? And if Alex went down the same root with Merrik is merrik immortal?Plus I was quite astonished when I saw the cast and saw the lead in hobbit as shay and jack black as harmony light beard! Overall this game is reallllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy AMAZING! I’d say a better word if there is one! So it’s the best game ever!
