Description

In Bus Driver, your job is to transport passengers around an attractive and realistic city. You must drive to a timetable on a planned route, whilst obeying traffic rules, and taking care not to upset or injure your passengers. This makes Bus Driver unlike any other driving game - the experience of driving a bus is very different from blazing through a racing circuit as in most driving games.

- 12 different models of bus to drive, such as double-decker and schoolbus.
- 36 routes with varying weather conditions set at differing times of day.
- An expansive city environment with various districts.

What’s New

Version 1.5.6

Fantastic, but please rebuild

Thanks for the great game developers, please could you rebuild for the M1 macs?!

Very fun game

Perfect game when you want to escape. I can’t wait for more levels. The game has no glitches and has a very realistic feel to it. I like how the traffic is a bit erratic and starts/stops abruptly etc as it gives the game a more authentic feeling and rustic feeling

Unrealistic but still quite fun

I do find it an enjoyable, relaxing game. I've used it with a PS3 remote, which is very sensitive but does work pretty well, and a logitech G27 wheel, which gives the best experience though I've not managed to have force feedback.

The the game is surprisingly addictive but there are still lots of little niggles.
Biggest for me is that, although the traffic around you does roughly obey traffic rules, they don't obey the laws of physics and accelerate and decelerate instantly, so don't cruise up to traffic lights behind someone because they will suddenly stop in front of you if the lights start to change.
It's fairly harsh with the 'out of lane' penalties, yet there is no other lane discipline required, as demonstrated by the traffic around you. You can also happily trundle along most hard-shoulders without penalty.
The bus time-table you are trying to match is in nearly all cases farcically optimistic.
There is no way to look left or right when pulling out into a road, stick your indicator on and hope for the best is your only option.
The mirrors are handy, however you can only have one mirror on screen at a time and if you're indicating one way then that side is the only mirror you can see.

As an inexpensive way to pass some time, if you're reading this and thinking you'd quite like a go, you might as well buy it.
