IN-APP PURCHASES:
Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Generally very good but not great for investments
For general banking it works very well with transaction syncing very slick and easy. As a long time MS Money user I am appreciative of not needing to spend any time inputting transactions any more. My one complaint is that the investment functionality is weak. You cannot enter purchase and sale of investments - only update what you currently have. And it can’t sync the pricing of my UK Unit Trusts. If that were sorted I would really love it!
Shame about reconciliation being awful
Lots of nice features, including the access from lots of devices. Number of irritating things though that really spoil user experience. If you don’t set a reminder to auto push to account and then look for it after that date - tough it’s gone. So better to auto load with an estimated amount and fix it afterwards. But by far the biggest issue is that reconciliation is a joke. Almost impossible to check it off against another statement since it does not compare balances. Finding something in your Buxfer that is missing in bank? Just about possible. Tracking down if there is something in bank not in Buxfer? Well nigh impossible without a printout and a pencil. It is so bad, I will probably be looking for another tool in the new year.
Powerful money management tool
Having used almost all of the popular money management apps on the App Store I have settled on Buxfer as my go-to. For me I get all the functionality I need at the right price-point.
Syncing using Open Banking is very robust and runs in the background. I receive regular notifications when new transactions are downloaded (but these can be turned off in the app, if desired).
It has the ability to create new categories and rules so that future transactions can be tagged automatically.
The app also includes extensive analytics so you can get an array of insights into your financial health and plan for the future through the comprehensive budgeting tools.
Support is first class - when I found a bug it was resolved within 15 minutes of submitting a ticket.
I recommend this app for anyone who takes managing their personal finances seriously. This app is ideal for power users who care about the details. Highly recommended.
