When you download a free app you expect ads but when you pay for something as simple as a calculator you would think that at the very least you pay for the lack of ads. If so, then purchasing this app is a complete waste of money. It will try to sell you the developer’s other apps by displaying annoying popups. For me it’s practically scam.

Thank you for the review. There should be no ads in the full version of the app. In case you upgraded to it, there should be another white icon for the app downloaded. Hope this will help!
This App is totally useless
I have the paid for version of this app on my iphone and it works well, however I do not see why I should have to pay twice for it as I do not for any other app. Totally cynical. I was happy to use the previous free version with the ads at the bottom but this version has rendered the app unuseable. i have just tried to dp three small basic calculations and in using the app for three minutes I had to put up with 3 adverts each running for 30 seconds. I do not need your useless app to tell me that is 50% of the time the app was active. I have now deleted it. i have only rated this 1 star because you cannot rate with zero stars. Given the chance I would rate the app -5 stars for useability and the developers 10 stars for greed, dispicability and lying to the writers of the previous reviews.
Your response does not answer my points. The ads are not minor when they take over 50% of the time - they make the app unuseable. you are simply GREEDY.

Ads kill functionality
As with so many other reviews, the ads are so many it is impossible to keep a train of thought going enough to remember what numbers to input, let alone work the sim out. It is actually easier to use good old fashioned pen and paper.
The developers seem to like to use the excuse “but it’s free!” I do not buy that (nor will I buy this calculator app when there are 100s of free apps much better) just because something is apparently free does not mean you should render your own app useless in the name of pure greed.
I don’t mind some ads as I know why they are useful and have had this app for years and it is only recently it has been this frustrating to attempt to use. I will be deleting. The only reason I’ve had time to write this review is because I gave up on this app and got my real, free, calculator out the drawer.
