Cali - the calendar app 4+

Many calendars are unnecessarily complicated, colourful and offer lots you don’t want if you just want a basic simple calendar. I was constantly missing appointments with Google. It too easy to flick the keys to make an error and move an entry unwittingly. Then the screens are complicated and not easy to read.

This app is so clear just like my old paper diary. I don’t make errors and I can clearly see the days events. You can get it to sync with Google calendar if you want.

It’s free but out of fairness give the developer the small sum he requests. He deserves it. (PS No I don’t know him personally).

I never normally review apps, but I’m making an exception as Cali is exactly what I haven’t been looking for. A simple, clean, uncluttered vertical weekly diary view with no unnecessary bells and whistles. Can’t wait to install it on my second-hand iPad when it arrives! However I agree with a previous review that perhaps an option to tick off or strike through completed tasks would be useful - for now I’ll just add a tick emoji to the end of any completed task title!

Simple but very effective. Easy to use and I find it works perfectly for me and I’ve been using it for about 18 months. I’ve never used a physical diary and I would forget to look at the calendar in the house once I had written dates in. I found the calendar that comes with the apple phone cumbersome and fiddly. This one has been a game changer!
