Ratings and Reviews
Not good anymore
I’ve had this app for a few years. It used to be brilliant, identifying just about anything - even accidentally, the wallpaper and batch number behind something else that I was searching for. I used it constantly.
Now, I’m going to erase it. It’s gone downhill over the last year or so, to the extent It couldn’t even identify a tin of sardines this morning, even though it clearly says on the tin, that it’s a tin of sardines. It came up with a book, and some other, completely random thing. Nothing to do with said tin. It’s become a complete waste of storage space. Utter rubbish.
Doesn’t work, not even close.
I wanted to try and identify a brooch but I got a weird video as a match. Figured brooch was too obscure and was maybe a one off. Fair enough. Tried a Collins map and it came back with a vid of modern literature. Maybe map is not well known enough. Tried a jar of marmite and got a cosplay video. What can I say? It doesn’t work at all.
Amazing App!
Object recognition has been around for some time, but this app is ahead of the opposition. It correctly recognised everything I photographed and listed the colours and materials. I don't use social media, so it didn't recognise people. In addition, it wasn't accurate at determining the species of plants and animals. However, it's a great app and free, so 5 stars!
