CamHipro 4+

Camera is amazing, great quality and night bison is awesome. The app however. I can't play any recordings. When I finally get onto time playback it jumps and won't let me review evening footage it will jump back to am. It won't play recorded footage just goes black and back to the same page. Tbh this app is pretty pointless. Because I'm going to have to take the sd card out the camera to review any footage which is a bit silly as we have these things for convenience and security but it's not doing a lot if we can't review it. Luckily I have a ring doorbell and now feel like I should of just purchased on of their outdoor cameras instead. App needs some serious updates and bug fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The camera was easy to set-up and works very well through a 20m (66ft) cable run to my router and a WiFi link to my 13” IPad Pro tablet. The definition is very good, in spite of the long cable run. The biggest problem I had was mounting the camera when 12ft up a ladder at the back of my house. The camera and its mounting bracket weigh over 1.5Kg, which is quite a handful when trying to mark the fixing holes for the bracket on the wall, furthermore the camera body gets in the way. So I completely disconnected the bracket from the camera (3 screws) making it much easier to mark the fixing hole positions. After drilling the holes I inserted a temporary hook into one of the top fixing holes and fed half the length of the camera cables back into the bracket and tied those cables to a nearby support point to hold the camera body while I hung the bracket on the hook and secured it with the other 3 fixing screws. Bear in mind that the camera body has to be supported during this operation. I then reassembled the camera onto its bracket, securing it with its 3 screws and pulled the cables fully through the bracket. With a normal screwdriver it’s impossible to fully tighten the screws, which are obstructed by the camera body when its in its normal position on the bracket. There maybe easier ways to mount the heavy, bulky camera, but I found it quite difficult working on my own when 12ft up a ladder.

I’ll start of saying I love this app. The issue is that you have no idea on how good it is because of the different camera manufacturers who use this app! Some manufacturers don’t use all the possibilities available , which is so annoying that you only find out after you’ve purchased it. Anyway I’ve been using this app for 5 years now. Most cameras last about 2 years before they start to breakdown with connection issues or picture quality but note his isn’t an app issue.
Talking about the app. I would love CamHipro to make an Apple TV streamer app. This shouldn’t be hard as it’s practically the same as the iPhone software
