Capture and share moments with virtual reality (VR) photos. VR photos let you experience scenery and sound in every direction and in 3D, making near things look near, and far things look far. From vacation travels to family get-togethers, capture the moment with Cardboard Camera and relive it in VR.
To experience your photos in VR, place your phone into a Google Cardboard viewer (http://g.co/cardboard), or add them to a virtual tour using Tour Creator (https://vr.google.com/tourcreator).
This release allows users to share pictures using the phone's default gallery app.
Ratings and Reviews
Needs to do shoot vertically as well to get a true 360 image so you can properly look around in cardboard mode rather than just horizontal
Used to be perfect but now no sound
This used to be a 5 star app until iOS11 came along and now the app no longer records sound. Or rather it no longer plays the sound, not sure if it captures it or not.
The panorama is great and the 3D effect really works but the sound really added depth to the immersive experience and it’s absence is a big issue. Unfortunately it’s been the case for a while now and Google don’t seem in any rush to fix it. Pretty poor.
Room For Improvement
Good app but does not offer much more that what the stock iOS panoramic feature. Would be great to allow the ability to fill in the gaps above and below.
