Center is an elegant meditation timer which tracks your sittings in a beautiful and simple way. With HealthKit integration so you can see your daily mindfulness practice stats right from the Health app.

The app uses haptic feedback in addition to classic meditation chimes: one chime to start, one chime for intervals, and three consecutive chimes for ending a meditation session.

Before you begin you can edit your sit time, set a delay to prepare, plan interval sounds to keep you focused, and get meditation insights. After each session the app tracks your meditation practice and provides custom insights to help you. This is what makes Center a valuable app: simplicity and a tailored experience to improve your practice the more you use the app.

# Distraction-free meditation

Many meditation apps like Calm and Headspace are filled with ambient music or voiceovers which distract from the purpose of the meditation. The goal of mindfulness meditation isn't to control your thoughts or breathing: it's simply for you to observe and be mindful of those things.

It's easy to lose track of your meditation habit if you're not monitoring progress or getting feedback along the way. The more you use Center the more the app learns about your practice and can offer custom insights into how to get more from your meditation.

# Customize your practice for you

If your practice includes different stages within a single session, you can set interval chimes to ring (traditional singing bowl sound). You can sit for as short as 1 minute or as long as an hour (using repetitive timers for sitting even longer).

Use interval chimes to help re-orient you during your session and a daily meditation reminder to keep your habit going.

Easy-to-read visuals show your meditation practice at-a-glance and the app tracks everything from the average time of your sittings, what days and times you typically sit, how long you've been practicing, your current and longest meditation streaks, and more.

Sleek yet simple meditation tool

This is a great app, sleek & simple. The tool I wanted to support me on my meditation. I’ve looking for an app like this and finally found it!

Positives:
+ no distracting talking o sounds, ideal is you only want to seat with your breath
+ love the gong interval options
+ beautiful, functional and smart design

To be improved:
-the gong sounds only work if your phone is on ringer mode, it doesn’t work on vibration mode (mine is always on vibrate so I have to remember to change it to ringer every time I’m using the app.
- the stats are useful but very basic, you cannot go and see the historic data day-by-day (I can live with that though), but the time of the day is not updating, e.g mine it says late afternoon because that was my first meditation with the app even when all of the other one have been early morning. Hopefully, this will be fixed on an update.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the app takes a lot of screen time/ battery but to be fair you get warned about it if you want to do meditation of 30min or longer.

Regardless these little issues, I’m very happy
With the app and would recommend it to anybody.

Great app, no unecessary features

I ditched an expensive annual headspace subscription for this, it is everything i need. set me a timer for 15 mins, logs the minutes in apple health. it is everything a meditation timer should be- simple, no fuss, calming. i would happily buy the author a few coffees for their time if that was available. one possible minor improvement might be to allow a new user to transfer their existing “streak” to the new app. as it is, i use the streaks app to track this so i could maintain my count. headspace is long gone. big thumbs up for this one 👍.

Love the Center of Attention

I love this app though it’s early in development. Some time ago I longed for a simpler way to record my meditation practice. I grew tired of making annual subscription payments and when I found Center, I knew it was right for me.
Center is beautiful and simple. Beauty has been enhanced for iPhone X / Xs with true black for the OLED screen. Something I’d hoped for.

The Apple Watch app is a wonderful addition with only a few niggles - it doesn’t appear to record the session within the master app or transfer stats via Healthkit to Apple Health app. However I’ll continue to use the iPhone version.

If you want simple, elegant and distraction free meditation, Center is a wonderful app.
