Charge HQ reduces your charging costs by charging your EV from your own solar or off-peak energy from the grid, whilst ensuring your vehicle is charged each day. Charge HQ works with the equipment you already have.
WORKS WITH EXISTING EQUIPMENT

* Charge HQ talks directly to your rooftop solar inverter or home battery to understand how much excess solar is available for EV charging.
* Charging is controlled to match the available generation from your solar system.
INTELLIGENT GRID TOP-UPS
* Where insufficient solar energy exists during the day, Charge HQ can top up from the grid during off-peak periods to ensure you have sufficient charge for your daily driving.

What’s New
Version 2.8
This version adds the ability to sign in using social accounts including Google and Apple. The same sign in details can also be used for the community forum (community.chargehq.net). It also includes minor fixes.
Ratings and Reviews
Excellent
Just works brilliantly with my Model 3 and Powerwall. Installed easily and pulled config details from Tesla. Now has taken over management of charging of both the car and Powerwall, automatically charging car with just the excess solar. I have also prioritised the Powerwall so it always charges first. If there’s not enough solar then the car will charge in the cheap rate overnight window if the charge level is below 40%.
Works exceptionally well with Tesla car and Powerwall
The app is good with enough advanced features to get things working the way you want to. Charge rate changes are very responsive with Powerwall data. Really a very solid piece of software.
Promising but can’t manage the basics
I had high hopes and it all looked very promising.
But imagine how let down felt when despite not turning anything on (Charging control turned off, and no schedules set) and the car having a “wait until set”, plugging the car in and Charge HQ starts it charging. And gets all miffed if I stop it outside the app.
If it can’t even manage being turned off what hope does it have for working right when turned on.
