Just what I was looking for and works great.
I have had no problems at all with this app. I never leave 5's so these developers don't get complacent! ;-) I have recently needed to use Messenger a lot, rather than the occasional chat and has done exactly what I needed to do on my MacBook. I didn't want anything too creative, just functional, and it functions.
A buggy mess
I picked this up as I thought paying for an app would mean I'm going to get something that works well and isn't advert driven. I know it's not much money but this app is severely dissapointing,
When i plugged it into my messenger account it did find all my previous conversations but just hung with a loading circle on clicking any of them instead of actually loading the chat history.
If a new message was sent into one of the chats then it would load that but then, if you clicked off that chat and then clicked back on, you would get the hang again and had to leave the chat active to keep track of any conversation.
Additionally, when it did actually go back to a chat after a long hang, it would only show the conversation from the current session and would go right back to the start of it, so you had to scroll all the way down to see new messages.
If you keep a chat open then the window also will not scroll up to show new messages which is flippin' annoying.
Add to the fact i could not mark a post with an emoticon, add any kind of image into the chat - despite claims this stuff is in the app - I consider it a waste of both time and money.
Very unhappy with how the app works and I'm going to find something better.

Still can't beleive I paid money for this, it was OKAY at first, although the fact that it lacked features that FREE messenger apps have such as the ability to make video calls which "Messenger for Desktop" can do always bothered me. It's also quite buggy and needs restarting quite often. Just lately the quick replies from the notification has broken too, I tried to e-mail about this to see if it was a known bug that they were working on fixing but got no reply. I feel pretty much ripped off at this point and do not recommend this app.
