Chess 4+

Hello! This chess app has helped me so much and needs no Wi-Fi or internet connection at all. There’s nothing that I can say you can improve because in my opinion this is the best chess app on the App Store. So classic and traditional. Keep up the good work. Best part no ads and you don’t need to pay for anything.

You can also play two player games and loads of fun and hard puzzles to solve. Absolutely amazing and simple. I cannot stop playing it. It helps me so much. I’ve tried so many chess apps and all of them don’t, first of all give you the ads, and second helps you so much. Really is a outstanding games and app. You can play anywhere at anytime. I’m sure you’ve worked so hard on this.

This app, honestly, saved my life! I used to play chess on a board and I don’t anymore because I played in a club of which I don’t go to anymore. I don’t have a board and it’s a bit hard to get during these times, so by getting this app, I don’t ACTUALLY need one. I hate all of the other ones now because this particular one is the best of the best. I’m pretty sure it only works on apple phones and iPads so you won’t be able to get it on devices of other brands. That’s the only issue for me.

Having played chess (badly!) while at school and now retired I have developed a Covid lockdown interest in chess again! This app is quite good for what is a returning beginner. I don’t think that it will be of value to “experts” but I will never get to that level and so is ideal for me as a learning aid against a
The graphics are good and the game is easy to operate. My only negative comment is that there is not an auto landscape mode for iPad. Other chess (and other games) do have this facility. It is desirable when using the iPad with a keyboard stand to be able to use in landscape mode. From a programming perspective this would involve splitting the screen into half with the board displaying on one side and the selection buttons and moves and pieces taken on the other.
