I love Cinema Paradiso. Usually I use the browser to log into my account but I recently installed this app. I have problems/ suggestions for improvement The thumbnails of the films are very small and could do with being a bit bigger so it’s easier to see. People with sight problems will definitely find it hard to use. It would be good if users could mark films as ‘seen’ so they don’t appear as suggestions. I watch a lot of movies and I don’t want to have to scroll and scroll through all the most popular titles to get to new or unusual ones. (And surely this would be valuable data for the company to use, and to make recommendations with). When I see the list at the bottom of each movie listing where it says the actors and director - surely these should be links that take you to their other films?

I only use this to check my films at home and my list. It only works in portrait mode and the search function is completely unreliable. For example it doesn’t find classic films such as “Don’t Look Now” or Jacques Tati’s Playtime, which are both available on the website. In my view this app needs a complete rebuild.

For about the cost of one streaming service you can rent just about every movie ever made. The downside they arrive on DVDs. In envelopes. In the post. My dear how antique.
