Premium at home fitness app

The subscription isn’t the cheapest and of course you need a rower, but there are many new workouts added all the time, great variety in terms of instructors and workouts, and the app itself is great at letting you track your progress. It links up to a variety of rowers, allows for unlinked input, and you can cast it to a screen. It does require an internet connection to work. My ask to developers would be for the ability to offline download workouts as that would make this pretty much unrivalled in terms of fitness app capabilities and would give ultimate use anywhere ability. But a great product overall.

A surprise gem

I’ve tried a number of different rowing at home classes, and this one is by far the best. The integration with my WaterRower is seamless, the subscription very reasonable in price, the class variety interesting, and the data fun and engaging. I’m a Barry’s regular, and this app has made me reconsider going as frequently or at all. I didn’t expect this level of quality from the App Store description, but this is definitely Peloton quality, without the annoying community engagement. It complements my WaterRower wonderfully and allows me to use my iPad and not contribute to electronic waste. Absolutely love CITYROW GO!

Helped me 10x thru lockdown!

I bought a second hand WaterRower at the start of lockdown and downloaded all the class based apps. CityrowGo is by far the best app. HIIT, Endurance, Weight mix-ups, has everything you need. As an ex-pro athlete with bad knees, I wanted something to push me with little resistance on my body - these classes give you a full body work out. The 4 week beginners workout program is perfect for novice rowers like me. Definitely worth the money!!!

Made my rowing machine even better

Ive had a rowing machine for 7 years and always loved it. These classes add variety to the machine and have helped improve my stroke, my power and my cadence.

Update: with summer here now gone and the bad weather started, this app has again become my ‘go-to’ for lockdown exercise and my son has started following it as well.

Plenty of new classes to keep us both motivated!

Very Happy - Good Variety of Workouts

I don’t really see the point of live classes and having a library of on demand classes works very well for me. Easy to filter to find the right workout. It would be great if you could share the subscription among family members of the same household.

Good but could be great

Very convenient and a good number of the classes and instructors are great but for a rowing focused app there are too many jobbing aerobic instructors with poor technique and badly structured workouts.
If the studio wants to grow it’s online presence it needs to monitor the overall quality and structure of the programming or risk loosing members to some of the other competitor apps and programmes available.

Just what I was looking for!

Having just bought a rower I have been looking for an app that incorporates rowing into a workout (without being 100% rowing) This app provides exactly what I was looking for. The classes are engaging and provide the right mix of exercises.

Subscription not available in uk

I tried the two week free trial , did 3 classes a day , fell back in love with my rowing machine, and learnt to stretch better .
Tried to sign up for a subscription at an introductory rate only to find not available in the UK …hope this will change soon …

Love this app

I’ve had a consistently good workout from this app. Love the fact you’re on and off the rower doing body weight exercise and some with weights. I’ll definitely keep this on despite Apple Fitness. New look is great too!
