Editors’ Notes

With its clean, colourful interface and intuitive swipe controls, Clear makes managing to-do lists across multiple devices lightning-fast and almost effortless. Its rainbow-hued checklists are like miniature works of art, making it simple to tell at a glance what you need to do and how urgently you need to do it. Bells? Whistles? Nah, but that’s by design. The developers knows that creating a to-do list is about managing chores, not creating new ones.

What a pity it is no longer supported

Nov 22 update: since latest iOS upgrade keeps crashing and can’t see text while typing. Huge pity. Part of my daily routine to check my todos.

Have been using this for years as a great tool for logging things I need to do. Often mid conversation, add it to the list. Minor niggles include that completed tasks remain on the list forever and sometimes when I complete or delete a task I find myself at the bottom of the deleted items list, with a long scroll back to where I was. Maybe other people keep more separate list and don’t encounter this bug. In the main - a huge thanks for making staying organised so simple.

Update needed!

Fantastic app, simple design, no nonsense. Perfect storm, right? Yep! Well, it used to be. These days it loses things!!! You enter something and sometimes it scrolls to the bottom of the list without saving. Argh! It’s not too bad when you delete something in a list and it deletes that thing then scrolls to the bottom of the list but when you add something and it doesn’t save it but scrolls to the bottom and you don’t realise it hadn’t saved then that’s absolute toilet! I added LOADS of things before I worked out this is what was happening - I thought yeah, it’s added it but then scrolled to the bottom of the list for no reason but NO - it didn’t save and scrolled down. All my plans of taking over the universe are GONE!!
okay, so it’s not the end of the world (for you all or me), but it’s hot and miss wether this does what it’s intended for, so I can’t recommend it for new users.
To the devs - please update it like you promised a year ago, after getting our hopes up after years of neglect. Go on, you know you want to ;)
