Description

Clock helps you manage your time on iOS, iPadOS and macOS. Check the current time anywhere with World Clock, make sure you wake up on time with Alarms, or keep track of passing time with Stopwatch and Timers.

World Clock
Check the current time in cities around the world. Or quickly see the time difference compared to your local time to make coordinating across time zones easy.

Alarms
Set regular alarms for any time of day. Choose to set them to repeat on specific days, give them a label and select the sound that plays with each. When your alarm goes off, you can choose to play from a selection of sounds, or pick a song from your Apple Music library.

You can also adjust your wake up alarm and sleep schedule from Health right in the Clock app so you can wind down with a Sleep Focus and make sure you always wake up on time.

Stopwatch
Measure the duration of an event. You can see how much time has lapsed with either a digital or analog stopwatch face, and you can quickly record laps or splits throughout the time.

Timers
Count down seconds, minutes or hours. Or count down using multiple timers, and add labels and distinct sounds to each. You can also choose to set a timer that stops any music playing in the background—perfect for getting to sleep with your favorite playlist.

Good App but Countdown Timer has a problem

Overall I like this app. However the latest version has a problem with the countdown timer in my experience. When you set the Timer and go to the lock screen there is an indication of time remaining but it or includes a delete and pause function. These are too easy to accidentally touch when putting the phone away. I have done this on several occasions, which is why I prefer the old lock display where no controls were included.

Glitch with latest version

I’ve used the Clock app for many years and have always found it perfect. I have found a glitch with the latest version though. I have an iPhone 14 Pro. I set about 5/6 pre-set alarms to get me up for work for 4-5am. When I get up, I ask Siri to cancel all alarms, which she then does. The issue is, a couple of times over the last few weeks, I’ve opened the clocks app at the alarms list page in the evening, and it said that my alarms are still set with the green sliders. The first time I did this, I went to bed and thankfully woke up just before my first alarm, and on checking, realised that my alarms were no longer set! This happened again tonight, I opened the alarms after cancelling them with Siri this morning, and again it showed they were set. So, after the last experience, I force closed the app, re-started it, and found that indeed they weren’t set.
Please be aware of this, and please look into this Apple. Thank you 😊

Bring Back the Basic Timer, please!

Can we have the basic timer back please? Or an option to toggle back to just the basic functionality of the OG Clock app? Nobody asked for all of this clutter. I use the timer A LOT and have managed my own timers for over a decade. Now there’s multiple timed settings cluttering up the interface, I can’t tell if the “recent” timer I selected is activated (50/50 chance) and I have to scroll up to see what’s counting down, etc. And spend time deleting timers I’m not going to use regularly. It’s ridiculous.

Also, whose bright idea was it to SILENCE the timer? The whole point of the timer is that it goes off at a specified time. /smh

You’ve really mucked this one up, Apple. Some things are just meant to be simple yet provide powerful, useful functionality. You didn’t need to mess with this - or at least you didn’t need to make this decision for all of us. I need a simple timer on my phone that I can use! Please give us the option under Settings to use the Basic Timer interface. I don’t need an advanced messy timer. I just need basic functionality! Thank you.
