Great outliner and checklist app.
Love it. Once I paid for the sync with Mac option I have been using it regularly. Great for coming up with checklists that can be reused and improved on over time - e.g for travel, camping and more. Saves a lot of time and stress.
Five stars if shortcuts (and behaviours) on all platforms could be configured to be like omnioutliner (which I have fallen out of love with when I found file size restrictions on my paid version, that were not there before!).
Fantastic syncing, though faint text won't be for everyone
All outliners have their strengths and weaknesses, and this one has a fairly no-frills feature set but absolutely brilliant auto-syncing across devices - which is per-item rather than at document level, so even offline changes to the same outline on different devices will sync up correctly. The main limitation is that (presumably for technical reasons) it uses the same text colours for both light and dark modes, so that you can work with grey or coloured text but not black or white. This takes some getting used to, and some may find it too hard on the eyes and uncomfortable to work in to serve as a primary outliner. Even so, it remains great value and in some key respects (linespacing, iOS/desktop integration) has the edge over much pricier competitors; it's quietly become my everywhere thinking-bucket app for notes, outlines, and idea capture on whatever device is nearest.
Brilliant
For outlining thoughts, speeches or written content this is the best there is. Very simple to use and does all that you need to throw down lines, add notes to the line, and then organise and knock into shape. Would be great if there was a way to split lines without having to cut and paste to reorder text onto a new lines - that’s a bit of a faff ... also great that you can add colours, but it is by entire line selection and would be even greater if you could format colour by highlighting specific text within a line.
But overall, this is the best of the bunch and is a go to act to start processing thoughts - then maybe export into drafts and do something with it ... at which point one has the structure which helps a lot for thoughtful content ...
You will need the pro version if you are serious ... and it’s definitely worth it in my humble opinion ... enjoy!
