Description

Meet Coda, the all-in-one, collaborative workspace. Bring your team and your tools together in one flexible platform—and design a more organized workday.

Coda comes with a set of building blocks, like pages for infinite depth, tables that talk to each other, and buttons that take action inside or outside your doc. And it helps you custom-build solutions that works the way your team does:

- Writeups: Coda is familiar like a doc and engaging like an app, so your team can jump in quickly, collaborate effectively, and make decisions that stick.
- Hubs: Teams move quicker together. So give them a single source of truth to get on the same page while centralizing everything from strategy to schedules.
- Trackers: Tables talk to each other, edits sync everywhere, views are personalized—and you can ditch the hacky spreadsheets.
- Applications: With Coda, anyone can design a time-saving solution with a formula, button, or automation. And replace niche apps in your tool stack.

And with updates to our mobile interface, collaboration can happen anywhere:

- Create, edit, and share a doc with just a few quick taps. Add pages as your ideas, content, or workflows grow.
- Make your voice heard with comment threads and reactions that live right alongside doc content.
- Find what you need quickly. Search docs by keywords, or browse docs in which you’ve been a collaborator.
- Within a doc, bookmark, hide, or bounce between any pages, and enjoy a full screen for reading any content.

Coda blends the flexibility of docs, structure of spreadsheets, power of applications, and intelligence of AI. What can you make on Coda?

Web app: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

I almost feel bad for not giving more stars - the web app is so good! Unfortunately, in comparison, editing coda docs on my iOS device feels clumsy and lacking functionality.

- Entire cells get cropped out for no obvious reason
- Table layouts overlap
- Text within cells gets cropped awkwardly
- You can’t directly input data into a cell without expanding the entire row
- Pretty much all the doc creation features need to be done on a desktop browser

As an iOS app, three stars is generous in its current state, but it has fantastic potential which you can see first hand for free on the web app! I look forward to see where this goes and wish the developers great success.

Goodbye spreadsheets as we know them!

Poor. Very poor

I left the coda platform about a couple of years ago in frustration. I recently returned because I still prefer the formulas to other popular platforms such as Airtable and appreciate the flexibility and possibly false hope that coda can provide bespoke solutions. However it feels like nothing has changed. I’d struggle to point to anything that I would call two years better. I’m sure work on the backend has happened. I’m sure something’s run quicker. However basic problems remain unsolved and it feels like there’s a lack of momentum or direction. Coda should be blowing the competition away by now but it isn’t and this app is a clear representation of that. I doubt the app ux has been refined in years and it was bad then too.

Functions but buggy

Web is great; safari or chrome. Really good!
But I’ve been using the app over WiFi on an iPhone 14 Pro for 10mins and it’s crashed twice; and the keyboard hides the cursor now I’m further down the page.
iOS app has a lot to do to catch up with Notion. Disappointed.
