The CP App lets you buy your tickets for the Alfa Pendular or Intercidades and journey supplements on the Regional, InterRegional, Oporto and Coimbra urban trains trains, add passengers to accompany you and see the train times even if you are offline. The GPS can tell you what trains are going through the nearest station to you.

App has a lot of bugs
I managed to buy tickets but had about 10 crashes on the way, mainly when I tried to add details to my profile and my partner’s.
There’s no Apple Pay option and the add ticket to wallet option is not working
Ridiculous app
Once you manage to register, to buy a ticket, it gives an error message about identification of the passenger. It takes some 10 minutes of trial and error, until finding that when clicking on the initials of your name it asks to enter an ID number (what for it is unclear, as ID is not necessary to buy a ticket from the counter at the station, makes it look like an abuse of GDPR that most people will go into in the hope of buying the ticket). Then, once everything is set, it doesn’t allow to buy tickets if the train you want to take already left it’s first station of departure(??). It’s a ridiculous system. Any other country in Europe has apps that allow to easily buy a ticket online. Similarly, most stations in Europe will have ticket machines, which is not the case in Portugal... it takes as long to queue for tickets for portuguese trains as it did 35 years ago. The app is there and consumes data to download on roaming — would be great if it actually worked.

Initially I wrote a review saying this app is usable. I’ve changed my mind. I tried buying 1st class tickets and the app kept telling me “couldn’t get sales information”, how is that an error message a client should know? What is the dev team doing? I tried again for 2nd class tickets, it managed to not crash until the actual payment form screen, and it did not work, I tris twice and I couldn’t book tickets.
This has to be the worst app I know.
Why on earth do I have to enter my address when I pay? Will you send me a nice letter or what?
