As part of our plans to grow and expand, we’ve looked at how we can modernise our image, while still recognising our history.
When Commsave first launched in 1991, we were a credit union exclusively for Royal Mail employees. Today, our membership has expanded. We are still proudly the credit union of choice for UK Royal Mail staff, but we also have members from across the UK - including people working in the UK’s fishing industry and the Civil Service, and people living and working in the county of Northamptonshire. We want our logo to reflect this change and growth, hence the subtle rebrand.
The logo that we’ve had for the last 20 years – since we were first known as Commsave in 2002 – reflected our history in Royal Mail, taking the form of a stamp. While this has served to give Commsave a distinctive identity, the stamp does create some issues when promoting the Credit Union.
We therefore set ourselves the task of developing a new look that reflects our history while giving us the flexibility to use it more easily and creatively in different settings. We hope you like it!
