What a rip off. Charged an extra ‘convenience fee’ for paying via the app instead of at a machine.

The app seemed to have no way to say how long I wanted to stay whereas the machine came straight up and gave me a 24 hr fee which was what I wanted.

Given I am saving them the hassle of collecting money from a machine anyway I see absolutely no reason to be ripped off for using the app.

Set up an account and set up my card, tried to pay for Parking a few times then it kept coming up with an error. The card was fine, the account was fine, but the payment wasn’t going through. Eventually got it to go through (after 2-3 tries) then had to renew the ticket once the 4hrs was up ( wouldn’t have to do this if there was an option for 8hrs :/ )
Tried to renew it and same thing, only it had told me the ticket had went through. I was not near my car to pay cash at the meter regardless.
Basically just got a £60 ticket because I was only paid for the initial 4hrs :)))

I normally use Pay by Phone for a specific ECP car park in London but recently the payment wouldn’t do through on that app (probably due to it being a peak period for payments) so was advised by the ECP staff at the car park to download this app and use it instead. Made a couple of consecutive bookings for the day with full receipts in the app and on my credit card statement but then received a fine from ECP for parking without a valid Pay by Phone transaction. Clearly the left hand is not communicating with the right within ECP’s Dorset Square office!
