Loved it
Loved playing it with family and friends until it stopped working at level 50 and won’t like you do anything it go back to the start.
Great idea very poorly executed
1. Far too many adverts! Literally after only 3 guesses sometimes. The adverts even stop you from seeing the score of the word you’ve just submitted which means you have to type it in again.
2. Then after you resubmit the word again you aren’t told it’s score. In fact every time you resubmit a word you aren’t told it’s score, which means you have to scroll down to find it. Annoying if you’re stuck on a difficult word and you simply want to retrace your steps.
3. It is clear that the “algorithm” is nonsense because synonyms get completely different scores. To give just one example of many, in one game “event” scored 34 but “occasion” scored 1563. I’m sure you’ll find find many more such examples if you play this game. It makes me doubt there’s even an algorithm at all, but just ready-made, mediocre lists that the app simply uses by looking up words in one field and returning numbers from the other field. An “algorithm”, which is what’s advertised, is an overly fancy word to describe a lookup function.
Advert Overload
A good game and a novel concept for sure. I play it every day and I like the idea of it, but the developer has gone way overboard with adverts to push people to pay for no ads. I won’t pay for no ads, most likely I’ll uninstall it instead. A real shame because the ridiculous amount of ads, the annoying types of ads and the amount of times I have to click ‘Done’ on the same ad…. It’s far too off putting and an awful customer experience.
