This Control4 app is specifically designed to be used with Control4 Smart Homes running OS 3. It turns your iPhone or iPad into your personal user interface to control all your smart home devices.

Smart Home OS 3 was thoughtfully redesigned to make it more personal and the smart home OS of choice for families. It enables you to check on the status and control your entire smart home including music, video, lights, thermostats, security system, cameras, door locks, garage doors, pools, and much more.

• Easily adjust volume through a new, intuitive volume slider control
• Background wallpapers for each room can now be easily changed right from the app

I’ve invest £10’s of thousands in Control4 and if I’m honest the system is just not good enough. I don’t have an issue with its hardware and capability, but the control/app is just awful. I have had numerous issues with the intercom and slow responses. With the latest update, it take 5 seconds access lighting and I am already in the app! It should be almost instant. Everyone is complaining about the same things…. Control4 come on, you know these are issues. Give us some reassurance and tell us when you are going to give us a modern and premium system! You have to re-architecture your system or something from the looks of it. Your competitors will take over and then it will be game over for you guys. I really don’t want to see that happen.
Barely functional
Barely functional app. Slow with an awful UI. physical stuff just about meets the bar for reliability. God knows what they are doing - every update is given the same words - bug fixes - I’ve never seen any change. Where is the HomeKit support where is the shortcut support. If I could afford to take it out and do something else I would.
OS3 update
With the latest OS3 update Control4 has moved to another level with the ease of use and modern user interface. The control and functionality is simplified but also gives the end user much more customisation of display and operation.
Control4 bring out regular updates of software and firmware and are constantly extending their product line so you know your investing in a company that are moving in the right direction and aren’t going to fade away.
We have many clients with C4 systems and have great customer satisfaction. We will continue to use C4 as our smart home system of choice.
