Countdown - Upcoming Events 4+

I am not sure if it’s only me experiencing this as of now, but all my countdowns have suddenly disappeared, there are a couple in the archive from the iCloud but most of them disappeared too or aren’t displaying
Why is this? How can it be fixed ?

Update - as identified by email you ran out of iCloud storage space and Apple deleted some data not the app.

Attracted to the feature of countdown to minutes and seconds as seen in the pictures. Purchased but found out selecting a year rather than this year is rather daunting as you will have to scroll all the way down from days and months to reach your desired year!!! I was already using other two beautifully designed free app for my short-term planning, only because either their widgets can’t be customised to display two different events that aren’t in time order, or when two widgets from the same app are being used there is only one same event shown on both widgets, rather than two whichever events you want. The widget is very poorly designed as it is only not ugly when you have at least 3 events lined up to display on it!!! If you only wanted a big event to take on the whole widget interface as a reminder, you would only end up having one event lined to the left taking only 1/3 of the whole widget, leaving the rest of 2/3 interface to be of simply ugly grey colour. And despite you could choose your own pictures for the events coming, the app’s very limited selection of the pictures and the fact you can’t event have a look in full screen size first are simply ridiculous!!!

I’m sorry you aren’t happy with the app. It’d have been nice for you to contact me directly first so I could look into dealing with some of the minor issues you’ve mentioned.

I’ve received a lot of other positive reviews and a one star here seems unnecessary particularly as a direct contact is available in the app.

The year problem is something I’ve mitigated by displaying the year seperately, unfortunately the picker component is provided by Apple, if you have a time you can’t have a year.

I suggest that you contact Apple for a full refund.

This is a good, simple app to use, that syncs across my iPad, iPhone & Mac (syncing is faster if you close the app and restart, especially on the Mac which seems to take ages to sync automatically).

Support contact was very quick. I asked about the missing feature, and got an immediate response. So what’s missing?

In my view, this should alert you / you when the countdown is complete. You can set alerts for full days ahead, but not for a specific time prior to completion. If this feature was there, this would easily replace my basic reminders app. May be soon?

Hey thanks for the review and for the emails. To clarify you can set a countdown notification to be when the countdown happens by setting to 0 days in settings.

Unfortunately due to limitations set by Apple syncing when the app is open on the Mac isn’t possible. I’m hoping they enable this soon but a quit of the app and open again will do a fresh iCloud sync 🙂
