Crosswords With Friends 4+

As. UK resident, I find game a bit too American but that's to be expected if constructed in US. That said, it starts my day whilst waiting for my morning cup of tea to brew. I would like to see the ability to earn coins introduced. If we have to watch adverts, at least give us coins for doing so, like the Bonza word games app. I've tried the "watch a video for coins" button but continuously get the message that vids aren't available. Needs sorting!

Also, just to add not everyone on the planet uses Facebook. I can't get points for some things as I don't do FB. Provide an alternative? Still enjoying my daily crossword!

Finally, still can't claim badges which is annoying especially since I've earns them!

I love the game, I love the way the app presents the game, and I love the games within games, this is a really well thought out app.... except you can’t use it offline, so despite downloading loads of historic puzzles using the coins I paid good money for, I cannot use it at all on the 12 hours long haul flights I do twice a month, that’s when I use my other lower quality crossword puzzle games that do work offline. Also I use this on the 2018 iPad Pro with latest spec, but still I have to restart it 9 out of 10 times for it to connect to the server and download today’s puzzle. I would have dumped this game years ago for this failing if it wasn’t for how good it is when it works and I am online.

Update: since latest update I now cannot access my profile or the store, so cannot buy coins and cannot finish a puzzle as a result, and therefore will break my run of puzzles, think I am finally done with this app.

I’ve been actively playing this game for a few months now, I’ve loved it as part of my morning routine, regardless of the Americanisms I get along with the clues great. But in August I purchased the ‘beginners pack’ which was meant to give me coins, hints and a bonus puzzle. I’ve never received the bonus puzzle to this day, and I’ve been in contact with their ‘support team’ since the day after I bought it. They’re not willing to accept it’s a problem, they haven’t offered me any solution or compensation (ie: just a couple of extra hints?!) and they are constantly telling me there’s nothing they can do, but refusing to give me any money back for something I paid for and never received. I’ve never had such a bad experience with support for an app before and I’ll never buy another add on in this game, I advise anybody else playing to stick to the freebies and don’t touch the add ons because nobody will help you if it goes wrong!!
