IMPORT ANYWHERE
Crouton supports importing recipes from almost everywhere! Pull recipes automatically out of websites and just save the bits you need. You can also scan recipes straight out of your recipe book using OCR
PLAN YOUR WEEK
With your favourite recipes on hand, Crouton makes it very easy to plan your meals for the week (or even long into the future). If you’re stuck for recipe ideas let Crouton automatically generate the meal plan from your organized dinner recipes.
STEP BY STEP MODE
Crouton offers a unique step by step mode. Focus on one recipe step at time as you cook, you can tap on ingredients within a step to get the quantity (saves you jumping back and forth between the steps and ingredients). With hands free mode you can move between steps without touching your device! Perfect for when you have messy hands.
TIMERS
Start timers with a tap. Crouton detects times within recipes and lets you start timers straight from the steps. A convenient heads up display keeps the times front of mind while you continue to use the app.
GROCERY LISTS
Create shopping lists directly from your recipes, easily copy just the ingredients you need to your list. Integrates with Reminders for convenient access. Your groceries have never been easier!
CLOUD SYNCING
All of your recipes are conveniently synced between all of your devices using iCloud.
RECIPE FEEDS
Save your favourite recipe RSS feeds into Crouton to see new recipes as they’re published from your favourite blogs.
AI IMPORTING
Quickly import recipes using AI. Import a recipe from a single photo with no manual entry required. Also supports plain text and images.

VoiceOver issues now resolved
VoiceOver issues originally reported in early June but resolved within four days after leaving one star review. I am now happy to give 5 star rating for an app which functions on simplicity itself. Sometimes, just making something simple and straightforward to use can make all the difference. it has further sophisticated scanning features which I have not had the opportunity to examine with VoiceOver, however, I would only normally expect scanning features of any app to operate correctly, if it was originally designed for VoiceOver in the first instance. Additionally, it has a hands-free method of advancing to the next screen of baking instructions, very handy when your hands may be covered in flower etc. The app also benefits from a straightforward workflow also.

I love this app, it's a real life changer!
Sounds a bit dramatic perhaps, but I've been really loving using this app and found it to be so much easier and more enjoyable to use than the horrible screenshots folder on my phone! I also cook a lot of new things with my housemates and this makes sharing recipes between us a million times easier. I just find that all the features are really accessible and well thought out, and am loving the experience overall - I keep telling everyone to get this app!! I also love that it's a small one-time payment for crouton+ rather than a subscription. I was super happy to take advantage of the initial 24hr offer to upgrade as I could already tell how good the app is.

Devin, this is the best thing. I have years of inefficiently managing my recipes under my belt.. from paper solutions to even using Trello to try to keep track/make weekly menus (never worked). But just discovered Crouton and couldn’t be more excited.
I stumbled upon a recipe online and wanted to save it... suddenly Crouton popped up as a way of saving it. Automatically all the ingredients, steps AND photo + title etc were synced and imported into Crouton. What?! Lifesaver! Long gone are the days of importing photos and manually adding ingredients and steps, for most of my recipes.
I’m super impressed. Synced across all my devices, everything is accessible and super easy to use.. I love it. Thank you!!
