Cryptogram: Word Brain Puzzle 4+

I loved this game and would play a lot and adverts were short enough they were not intrusive. Now the adverts are really long and also instead of the hints giving us a whole word, we now only get the option of a letter choice. I struggle sometimes when the symbols are the same but there is a slight difference in the colour and I Haverfordwest watch two or three long adverts. You have spoiled what was a fantastic game and I don’t know if it is worth keep playing it.

It could be good but needs some changes. I’ve given it one star as paying for no adverts didn’t do what I thought it would. For example, adverts still show if you get more than 3 wrong unless you start that phrase again. Having said that, it’s quite fun to play while watching the tv. Unfortunately there are other issues: when you’ve done about 100 puzzles it starts repeating. The timer is faulty too, putting it down mid puzzle and picking it up hours later, it included the time away on at least one occasion. Another problem I had with it is that the breadth of vocabulary in the puzzles is very limited as is the content of the quotes. Many are culturally insensitive and some downright sexist, unpleasant or cliches. I’ve poor eyesight so fairly often clicked on the wrong thing by accident. This made the three error thing somewhat irksome. Maybe the number font could be a little bolder. Still, I can say it was enjoyable to play and it cold be very useful app for some children.

I absolutely adore this game! It was always my favourite to play in the newspaper puzzle section as a kid and I find it so so relaxing.

However, I’m having to give up playing for 2 reasons;
1) I wish there was a bar that had the symbols on that, when you got a letter, it had the letter next to it. To stop the endless scrolling up and down to see if you find the symbol for a letter you know you have.
2) the events are impossible to win unless you glued to your phone for 3 days! I play every evening for at least 1 hour, more often 2-3 and yet I have only ever won one of the events. I think you should be conscious of not encouraging users to engage in more screen time than is recommended. In fact this is the reason I’m quitting tonight. I was over half way through and event and today was the final day and I was so excited to sit down and play but when I logged on there was only 7 minutes remaining before the event ended. Frustrating to say the least. My ideas to solve this are; you can choose to double the keys etc when you watch the add to 5x your money, you extend the events by a day or so, you increase the amount of keys per level.

I’m hoping you read this and reply so I can know if it’s worth checking back on this game or not.
