The permissions on this are:
"Can read sensitive information from webpages, including passwords, phone numbers and credit cards on: all web pages"
Surely you don't need such wide-ranging permissions for what this plugin is doing. Is there no way you can narrow them down?

Actually, all your Safari extensions (like Evernote, AdBlocker and so on) will have the same description there, this is the standard. You can download other extensions from the App Store and you will see that the same label will appear.
Back to my app: the extension is not collecting any information, is not accessing any information from your browser, it’s not monitoring anything or sending data over the Internet in any way. It's very safe. The only reason the label is there is because the extension must access your loaded webpage in order to change it.
Also, it's reviewed and tested by Apple in order to enter the App Store and they do not allow apps or extensions that collect information about you.
You can also review the privacy terms from here (the In a Nutshell section is enough): https://alexdenk.eu/privacy-safari-extensions.html
So keep using the extension with confidence.
Serviceable, but not good
While it's nice to have something that tries to convert pages to a "dark mode", this plugin often fails in ways that free plugins for other web browsers don't.
The worst example of this is entire web frames being simply "inverted" in colour leading to inverted image colours for carousel menus, Twitter embeds and many other common website features, and this happens on many popular websites. While you "technically" get Dark Mode there's no point in using it if important content like images can no longer be viewed or read and it undermines the purpose and value of this addon.
If you REALLY want a kind of dark mode for Safari then the flaws can be overlooked, but for everyone else this can't be recommended until the app improves or more options are available on how the addon processes pages, as the current plugin options don't adequately reflect the nuances of websites and the shortcomings of applying a filter to them.

The extension works very well for most of the websites out there in the wild. This is proved by testing and a lot of happy customers. But if you have some websites that are not perfect, Dark Mode can offer some options: you can either add the site to the ignore list, or you can choose what sites Dark Mode to run on (only the sites that are rendered perfectly). You have any questions, please write me to firstname.lastname@example.org and for sure I can assist you in any matter.
This helps me out quite a lot as the white background is killing me. Some improvement like how about make the orginal black colour to stay in black? Like instagram story, the colour besides the story itself is orignally black, but because the dark mode, it makes it to be grey-ish and I will say it ruins it.
